The Mercure Barra funda is very well located, right next to Allianz Park. If you are visiting Sao Paulo for a show, this is the place to be. The accomodations and amenities are great. But I think what sets this hotel apart is the staff. They are the friendliest staff of any hotel I've even been to, and I have been to many! From the desk to the bar and everywhere in between, the made me and my friends feel at home.

The staff at the reception was courteous and helpful. Unfortunately, the room conditions were far from satisfactory. The bed sheets were torn/burned, the air conditioning did not work properly, and there was not a single bottle of water provided. Although there was a coffee maker, no complimentary coffee was available. There was no iron in the room, one of the liquid soaps (body wash) was not working, and when I asked the housekeeper for assistance, she mentioned that they use the same body wash as shampoo. In other words, they basically use the same product for both body wash and shampoo.
