We were part of the Pokémon staff. We arrived early and discovered that the company had booked 2 rooms for us, but, as a married couple, we only needed one. The change was made. But, the next day, the front desk wanted to charge me since there was "an extra person in my room". Apparently, the message was not conveyed that this was simply changing 2 single room bookings to one room with 2 people. We also felt that we were charged double for our early check in, even though we checked into one room.

My 15-day stay at IBIS Styles Barra Funda São Paulo was average, with a mix of positives and areas that need improvement. The hotel has a modern design, a convenient location near Barra Funda station, and a friendly front-desk team, which I appreciated. However, several aspects of the stay were below expectations. Housekeeping was inconsistent and the room was not cleaned daily, which seems to be a common concern among guests as well. Basic in-room amenities were lacking—there was no bottled water provided, and the minibar was empty throughout the stay. The daily process of paying separately for breakfast was also inconvenient and required waiting in a queue every morning. Additionally, compared to the amenities and level of comfort provided, I felt the overall price for the stay was on the higher side. The hotel has potential, but improving housekeeping consistency, offering essential in-room amenities, and streamlining the breakfast experience would significantly enhance the overall guest experience.
