Quite simply the most disgusting hotel I have ever stay at. Mould on the ceiling in the bathroom, dirty walls ceilings and furniture, the the bed was so uncomfortable and creaky it woke me up every time I moved. It was so loud it probably woke up my neighbours. All the walls were so thin I could hear every word of every conversation in the adjoining and adjacent rooms. NEVER again Mercure!

Firstly would like to say that the staff are fantastic, super friendly and very accommodating. The hotel itself though needs some serious work. The elevator is dodgy as hell. The first room we were put in was so hot. The air con isn’t even controlled in the room. The tv didn’t work and the bed was super hard. The bathroom stank of mildew. Spoke to the staff and they moved us. New room was better but the shower head would pop off with the water pressure so had to get that fixed. Amenities are laughable, laundry room was dirty and their microwave they had in there was also dirty. Seen a mouse scurrying around in the dining room when we had dinner there. Luckily the service was good and the food was great. Overall it was a disappointing experience. Management or owners should spend some money and actually do some proper maintenance and improvements. Again, staff are super friendly and just doing the best with what they have.

We had some problems with our room when we first checked in, and the staff were amazing in helping us resolve it. I can’t fault the staff at all. It must be a difficult job to work in a property that is desperately in need of a major refurbishment. For the price we paid, I expected a lot more from the property and the room. I was very disappointed. It has a budget hotel feel, but that isn’t how it’s marketed - at least in my opinion.
