Our stay started on a low note (not the hotel’s fault!). The airline lost our luggage at the start of our one month stay. The staff at the hotel kept us informed on the status of delivery once our bags were found.

The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are very clean It is quiet The staff is extremely kind and will switch to fluent English when you apologize for your really bad French The breakfast buffet was included everyone morning and it had everything you could desire plus they will make eggs, crepes and pancakes I definitely will be returning when I return to Rennes

I have booked the superior room and happy to know there is a balcony! Stylish , spacious and artistic room. The spa is small but good after a long day trip. Dinner at hotel with vegetarian option and was satisfactory. My husband ordered the beef and is overcooked

I always come back to this hotel whenever in Rennes. The front office always delivers great service and the space is beautiful. However, coming from the hotel industry myself I must say I was a little disappointed this time around. The breakfast staff wasn’t very cordial and they were 5 people in the open kitchen speaking really loudly. The buffet wasn’t rich with options either. The menu had “pancakes” written on it - which my husband orders. 1 single little pancake arrived 10 minutes later with no topping whatsoever. As for my eggs, I asked for avocado as a side, there were none available. That same day I had a 45 min lymphatic drainage massage at the spa. I arrived at 9, time of my appointment - also time at which the spa opens but the door was closed. I fill in a questionnaire and the massage starts at 09:10. The massage was OK but too soft for this kind of treatment which I do regularly. The massage ends and I am in the resting space by 09:40. This is not a 45 min treatment. On the other hand however, the bar staff was great - they suggested a lovely wine and the room was nice and clean. Only remark is the toilet paper roll was almost finished when we arrived, we had to switch it ourselves the next day - quite uncommon for a 5* hotel.

However, I am truly sorry to read that certain aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations, nor the standards we strive to uphold on a daily basis—especially coming from a fellow hospitality professional. Regarding the breakfast service, your experience does not reflect the level of excellence we aim to provide. The lack of cordiality you encountered, the inappropriate noise level in the open kitchen, as well as the limited variety and generosity of the buffet are matters we take very seriously. Likewise, the situation concerning the pancake order and the unavailability of certain items such as avocado is regrettable and not representative of the experience we wish to offer. A reminder of our service standards and immediate corrective actions have been initiated with the teams concerned. I would also like to sincerely apologize for your experience at the spa. The delayed opening, the late start of your treatment, as well as its shorter-than-expected duration are unacceptable. Furthermore, the lack of adaptation of the massage pressure to your expectations is an essential point that should have been better addressed. These issues have been shared with our spa manager to ensure that concrete corrective measures are implemented without delay. Finally, I sincerely regret the lack of attention in your room. This type of detail, although simple, is an integral part of the flawless experience we must guarantee in a five-star establishment. Please rest assured that all your comments have been shared with the relevant teams and are being carefully followed up.
