My husband and I were incredibly impressed with the level of customer service during our two night stay at the Novotel Spa Rennes Centre Gare. Situated in the middle of this very grand city, it was very easy to get around the city with brilliant public transport links and very close to the large train station only 2 minutes away. You cannot hear the station either. Just to point out! Breakfast was fine, the spa was lovely and there is parking available too. We had a little problem with it the card slot in our room, after we were out for the day and we couldn’t turn the lights on. This must of been an accident by the maid. So, we informed reception and because of the inconvenience they upgraded us to a suite across the hallway. This was a really lovely treat and we couldn’t thank them enough. Next time we visit Rennes, we will definitely be back!

i knew the hotel. management of covid (breakfast, dinner) well done) the room was cold and despite 2 demands, to temperature increase, i was still freezing while working. was same for 2 of my colleagues. 3 out of 4 were freezing.

Regardless of these strange times (coronavirus and 18h curfew) the experience was great. The room service diner options were excellent and the system well organised. A real pleasure. Looking forward to coming back when we can benefit from all the services offered.

Our reservation was upgraded to the Novotel as the Mercure was closed. this was a nice suprise. Staff friendly & efficient, room conforatable & clean (was very warm though and not easy to lower the heating). alternative for in-room dining was appreciated, but had to call back as the order wasn't correct. Globally a very nice stay

I was automatically upgraded (Diamond status) but the room smelt of stale tobacco. In the shower there was damp and humidity stains on the ceiling of the bathroom and also the bed linen, pillowcases and bed were not comfortable. To cap it all the price seemed excessive in these times when compared to other offers. In the end what was to be a 3 night stay became one night as I opted to move to a Best Western hotel out of town

Clean, convienient and friendly. Well apppointed room and deespite being in the middle of town it was quiet and easy to get good nights sleep. Staff were all helpful anbd pleasant. I would certainly recomend this hotel and use for future visits to the area. Car park entrance could be slightly better signposted.

This hotel is central in Rennes and within walking distance of all what is to see and do in Rennes. It's a pure business hotel with very little charm and nice decoration. SPA and pool are in the basement. Parking is convenient but expensive but no other better option exist nearby. 1st room smell tobacco but we got a remplacement room on the stop and an upgrade.

The room and the bed were quite confortable. However the washing basin was blocked and the water drainage was extremely slow. They had also forgotten glasses in the bathroom. We needed parking for our automobile and we picked this hotel based on the information on existing paying parking at the hotel. Public parking was not an option for us and we had expressed that in the booking. But when we arrived at dinner time there was no available parking space. After negotiation we were allowed to use a reserved parking space. We had dinner at the hotel and remarkebly the waiter could not give any information about some of the components of the menu of the day (that was handwritten with spelling mistakes). The soup was presented as a gaspacho, but in fact it was a very waterly water melon soup that was extremely sweet. The rest of the meal was also disapointing. The ambiance at breakfast was stressful and the buffet area become too crowded. The waiter used a lot of cleaning spray when cleaning the tables, and the spray had a very strong smell and could potentially cause allergy or an asthma attack. We finished the breakfast as quickly as we could.

very friendly helpful staff, made us feel very welcome from theminute we walked in. rooms very comfortable with all that you need. Nice buffet breakfast.would definitly stay again. Spa looked nice.. we di not leave enough time to use it. good location city centre walking distance.

Good upgrade given 2nd visit in 10 days reception staff very welcoming good breakfast. Room more than adequate for a one night stay.good shower and plenty of towels. The pillows could be better but we find France generally not good on this point.

Good Morning, I stayed 4 nights and have eaten several times in the restaurant for a total of €1040. I forgot some belongings of mine in the safe of the room n°307. I've been unable to go back as I was in the airport in Paris when I received their phone message. The staff finally sent my belongings back to me at home but when I opened the parcel some of them went missing. I called but the receptionist told it may be the postal services, I explained to him it was impossible as the Postal sticker was intact. Then I wrote to the General Manager, Hugo Nelson who answered me that my allegations were false and did NOT even take the complaint into account for further investigation. This is Outrageous for a so called 4 stars hotel!

En aucun cas nous avons remis en questions vos allégations, néanmoins nous vous avons précisé que nous avons envoyé ce que nous avons retrouvé dans votre chambre. Vous nous accusez d'avoir dérobé des "bijoux en or d'une valeur inestimable". Je vous prie de croire madame, comme expliqué, qu'une enquête interne a été effectuée, Cette dernière n'a pas révélé de dysfonctionnement. Je ne peux donc pas accepter de telles accusations sans fondements. Je vous invite a porter plainte auprès des services compétents plutôt que de mentionner votre mécontentement sur un site qui n'a pas vocation a régler ce genre de problème.
