I spent three nights as a tourist visiting Rennes. I chose the hotel due to being a member of the Accor program, and its proximity to la gare. I knew check in time was 13.00. My train arrived at 11.45 and I was at the hotel by 11.50. I was told I had to wait until 13.00, which I did without complaint. I would like to say that I think it's somewhat shameful to make a guest wait until the official check in time. I totally understand the issues from the hotel's point of view; rooms not being ready, etc. I worked front-line customer service for decades. But the hotel was not full - not even close - and it was almost noon, not 07.00 or 08.00 or ... When a hotel is this inflexible, it makes the guest feel equally inflexible towards the hotel, when things go wrong. It's a very bad policy on your part, and I suggest you review it. Or at least give your staff the ability to use some common sense.

Dear DYLAN S., The check-in is at 1pm because our governess is checking all of the 99 rooms we have to be sure that everything is good and clean in every rooms. The customers can leave their rooms until 12h00 the day of their departure. I don't know how can you guess that we weren't full but I just checked, we were veritably full during this day and the day before. When we have the possibility to give a room before 1pm, we will do it but if we didn't, it's because we couln't and you have to accept this. Have a nice day.
