We were pleased with our experience with the hotel staff, the location of the hotel, and the amenities in the room. Hotel staff were receptive and helpful, as well as conversational in English, which while not a necessity was appreciated. The location was suitable for our plans, the city center was well within walking distance for us and we were also pleased with the ease of access to public transportation, both bus and metro were convenient. The room was clean and had a nice kitchenette, we didn't cook but we did shop at the nearby grocery and it was great to have a fridge to store the cheese and cidre we brought back from our exploration.

The reception staff were friendly and efficient. The room needed attention. Paint was chipped on the doors and the bedroom door would not close due to a damaged top hinge. The bed was comfortable and the rooms warm. The kitchen area was well provided with utensils and an electric kettle. All the kitchen equipment was very clean. The bathroom was dated. But the water supply was very good. Some parts of the apartment needed to be cleaned better. Especially along the bottom of the shower screen and the bottom of all the wardrobes. Overall we enjoyed our stay in Rennes.

Enjoyed stay. Well located for places to visit on foot or by bus. Bus stop close by. Room clean and comfortable. Superb buffet breakfasts available. Only downside was that there was scaffolding outside my window (think they are in process of repainting the building). Whilst nice and clean I found the corridors to be a bit dark, dreary and depressing. Would be improved by having brighter colours on the walls and doors.
