Good stay calm. The only point was that on the web site, is clearly stated that the parking for the hotel is gratis, which make the place very attractive for the location. At our arrival, they wanted to make us pay 20 euros / night for the parking - we refused it as it was clearly stated free... the lady accepted = GOOD point With 20 euros / night for the car - we would have chosen another hotel Accor or Kyriad So keep it like this !

Loved this hotel in Rennes city centre. Gorgeous decor, well maintained. Bedroom and shower room were lovely. Great sound proofing and air conditioning. Very comfy bed. It was more like a chic boutique hotel. Very near all the restaurants. Perfect location for a city break.

The first night we were given a PMR room. Large room but very pungent smell from bathroom. Had to keep bathroom door closed. The room was street side and very noisy at night with a bar below our window. We asked for a different and we were accommodated. Great room. Quiet. No smell. Comfortable. Hotel location is great! Ask for courtyard side room and it is a beautiful stay!

We arrived to find that I had made a terrible error in the booking. I had booked the room for the prior night. The clerk said we had a reservation but it was for last night. He said he would take care of it and gave us a room for the night only charging for the difference. This type of excellent service will definitely bring me back to the Mercure chain. I’ve stayed in this chain years ago in Paris, the service was excellent then and it was again on this stay. Thanks you to the check in clerk.

There was an availability issue with the type of room we had booked, but the hotel did call us on the day to inform us of the problem and we had to take a slightly smaller room. For us not a big deal as it was only one night and we were anyway in holiday mode. On arrival we were informed that the hotel would grant us a complimentary breakfast for the inconvenience - nice touch and good customer service. But it got even better, as on departure the hotel would not charge us for our 2 parking spaces either. A beyond expectations customer service recovery. Aside from that location was top, with lovely restaurants just around the corner. Well done Team Mercure - Brilliant recovery and greatly appreciated.

I was on a solo break before heading to Brittany. it was very hot (33 degrees) so AC in my room was much appreciated. An excellent large room, comfortable bed and pillows. great breakfast. the staff could not have been more helpful, from directions to restaurant recommendations, to getting more milk for coffee in my room. I would definitely stay here again on further visits to Rennes
