There are two Ibis hotels close to the Centre Comédie and it is easy to confuse them. Having stayed in both, this one (Styles) is quieter, the shower here is walk in and not separated, the breakfast is not in an underground cellar as in the other hotel, though there you can get scrambled eggs and not simply boiled eggs. I prefered this one.

Hello David, Thank you for your detailed feedback! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay at our ibis Styles hotel and appreciated the quieter atmosphere, as well as the convenience of the walk-in shower. We're also glad you found our breakfast setup more appealing. We hope to welcome you back soon at ibis Styles Centre Comédie! Best regards, Flavie

Amenities were rather old. The door to the room was difficult to close. The breakfast was average. I was expecting slightly better for the price.

Good vibe like the style

Good service at the reception. Room was fine but no real curtain in the shower to avoid water goes everywhere in the bathroom. Breakfast was fine but limited choice. Parking was difficult to access via Rue Saint-Gilles and that difficulty was not mentioned anywhere. Parking itself is difficult if car is not very small.

The location and welcoming staff have to be main selling points of this hotel and accessibility to the Comedie square and Polygon shopping centre. Arrival in the car was an absolute nightmare and I still can't say how we eventually got there, but somehow managed. You can off load at the front of the hotel, though there is a barrier and you have to ask reception to lift this. Once inside with suitcases, I then left my husband to move the car to the car park next door and he once again strugled to find his way back, but eventually did and then you take the elevator straight down into reception by using your room key. Car park costs 11 euros a day and there is no concession for disability. My first impressions were that the hotel was quite tired looking with badly stained carpets, especially on floor 5. I had booked a superior room with sofa bed, but it did not resemble photos on the web site with lovely art work on the walls and when I questioned this I was informed that not all rooms had this. The walls were painted wood chip, the phone to reception did not work and there were cracked tiles in the bathroom. It had been confirmed on check in that this was an accessible room however a wheelchair would not have fit through the bathroom door. There were only two thin towels and pillows and l felt again that this was definitely a budget hotel. Breakfast the usual affair, though there were some lovely breads and I would like to thank the gentleman on reception who provided us with glasses of ice on request. We did enjoy our stay in Montpellier and there was an interesting flea market on the Sunday morning near the Arc de Triomphe.
