Good things: - Very friendly and accommodating staff - Good location - Clean room - Decent breakfast Things to improve: - The room I stayed in (Room 403) was difficult to access due to a steep staircase. I was not informed about any accessibility issues, nor was I asked whether this would be suitable for me. - The room had four single beds, even though I was staying alone. Given the small size of the room, this took up most of the space. - I had booked a double bed but received two single beds pushed together instead. This is not the same and is less comfortable because of the gap between the mattresses. - The pillows were uncomfortable and very firm; I had to use a folded blanket instead. - I would prefer wider blankets, as the provided ones (90 cm) felt too narrow.

Decor is really outdated, feels very late 90s early 00s. The beds and pillows aren’t comfy at all. There is no sound proofing so you can hear everything.. The heating system is on a central timer so it’s extremely hot in the room unless you turn the heat pump off (I had to request a fan) . TV signal is unreliable. The sinks don’t drain for ages and this is one of the cheaper hotel options in Amsterdam. Having said this, the location is great in the De Pijp area, close to markets, shops, bars and restaurants. Location is slightly outside the main centre which is much more pleasant
