The hotel location is excellent for both city trips and business trips. With the stop for the streetcar right in front of the hotel it is very convenient for exploring the city, 10 minutes with the streetcar and you are in the center of Amsterdam. Royal Theater Carre and the Heineken Experience are within walking distance. You will feel right at home in the ibis Styles Amsterdam City Hotel. The ibis Styles Amsterdam City is on the edge of the Amsterdam canals and the famous 'De Pijp' district. The Anne Frankhuis, Waterlooplein, the Hermitage, Dam Square, Madame Tussaud's, Kalverstraat and the Municipal Museum are all a 10 to 20 minutes' walk from the hotel. Also pay a visit to the Van Goghmuseum, the Rijksmuseum and the Rembrandthuis. Go for a walk through Vondel Park or Sarphati Park. Fancy something different? I stayed for 4 nights at the Ibis Styles Amsterdam City. Bearing in mind the fact that it is a 3 star hotel, the room was spacious (ground floor backing on to the 'garden' area), it was great value for money. The room was cleaned every day and the the service was very good. Public transport was just 2 minutes walk away at most, every 10 minutes, both to the city centre and further out. All in all, very impresssed.

The hotel is conveniently located right next to a tram stop that will quickly get you to most popular tourist spots. Plenty of great food in the area, too. Sleeping was tough since the walls are so thin and you can hear everyone in the surrounding rooms, but nothing some ear plugs can't fix. Worth it for the money I spent!
