Hotel is very clean, great location, on a good price. Staff is very helpful and friendly and the breakfast is very tasty. Will choose this hotel again for my next visit to Amsterdam.

The Ibis Amsterdam City is very well located. It is in the middle of the city centre. They are tram and metro station close by that take you to the airport or to the other side of the city. The staff was very friendly and there is a 24/7 check in.

I made a reservation in the wrong ibis hotel, my intention was to reserve the one in central station. The staff was extremely unhelpful, so I had to pay an extra 100 euros for the other one. They said that the two ibis was not connected. Then they should have different names or websites so the customers don’t make this mistake. Money was not transferred so I lost my money, nothing was done to help me. I accepted to pay a second time. Then, the heating system was broken, and I changed my room several times, and the heating was not working in any of the rooms that they gave me, so they gave me a very small heater which was not helpful at all. I froze at night with no sleep. In the morning, the receptionists were not helpful and told me that I could cancel my second day’s reservation and go find another hotel. This was so rude. They refused to refund back my money. I took only the second day’s money back due to my cancellation. So I lost 150 euros in total, for 2 days to the ibis that i have not been, and for 1 day to the other ibis where I couldn’t sleep due to freezing. I have never been treated that way in any other hotel. I’m extremely disappointed by ibis hotels which I thought was a good and trustable brand so that’s why I had selected it. I don’t know how, but I wish to make complaints because it is so unfair what I lived. I don’t even know if anyone will read this, or take me seriously after what I saw from the reception staff.
