We were pleased the accommodation you provide, except for two things: every person needs TWO towels, instead of one, to maintain basic hygiene in all circumstances. This should not require additional explanation. Another very important request is a secure, password protected Internet connection. In the modern world, this is a must. Again, this should be self-understood, given the amount of internet fraud, intrusion etc. we couldn’t pay for anything on an unsecured connection, by the way, as our devices wouldn’t connect to the Internet under the circumstance. This is a very serious consideration which you should take seriously. We plan to stay at your hotels in other parts of the world we hope to be able to enjoy full Internet protection.

Normally there is a second towel in the cupboard. Due to covid we have to put now 1 in the shower and one spare one in the cupboard. This hotel is comfortable, clean and convenient. The staff is very nice. We did not purchase the breakfast option, and chose to grab a morning coffee and croissant at the station. We stayed for 6 nights in a room facing the Rhine river and train tracks. The windows are soundproof, and we did not hear any noise from the trains. It was fun watching the boats and barges on the river. It a convenient location for either riding a tram, ferry boat or walking to restaurants and museums. By US standards, the room was very small, but the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was well designed and the AC worked. There is no coffee or hot pot in the room. Coffee may be purchased in the lobby. Bring or buy a bar of soap to use, the one they give in bathroom is tiny. Shampoo and shower soap is in a squeeze bottle attached to the shower wall. We have stayed in Ibis hotels before, and we expected all of this. The hotel is good value, especially since we spent little time in the room. The area in front of the hotel appears unsightly because of thousands of parked bikes, garbage on the ground, and smokers outside. Don’t be concerned, once you enter the hotel, you are presented with a clean and efficient lobby and friendly check-In. I would definitely stay here again on any trip to Amsterdam, pleasure or business.

We arrived late due to traffic, luckily used the online check in upfront so despite it was 3:30am, we got our keys fast. Friendly service throughout the stay, no matter at reception, housekeeping or at the bar. It is a typical Ibis hotel, you know what to expect and what not. Location is great, next to central station and right to many major attractions in Amsterdam. We did choose it for the easy way to travel with public transport or by foot. If you come by car reserve in Q-park next door upfront to get a discount. We will take this hotel for our next stay again.

Easy walking location at the Central Train Station... Simple but very cosy and comfortable hotel, better that many other Ibis... Outstanding service from Ronald (Merci!) and all the staff... No luxury in the rooms, but all clean and modern, with nice bed and bathroom... Very good breakfast in spite of limited choice due to COVID-19... Well respected COVID safety precautions all around the hotel... I'll come back for sure!

Everything was very smooth, this hotel is situated right above and next to Amsterdam central and so it was perfect. I also had to stay in Amsterdam an extra day which was unplanned, and the staff helped me out with my situation and gave me some addresses of different places that could help me with my issue of trying to leave the country. We used to live nearby in Amsterdam Centrum, so were vaguely familiar with the hotel. We booked it mainly on location (which you can't beat, literally at/on Centraal Station) and price (pretty reasonable for the location). We had some misgivings about possible noise from the trains (part of the hotel is literally above the tracks). None of the reviews I read mentioned noise, but there was indeed some infrequent noise from trains braking. I use a white noise machine app on my phone and it did not end up bothering us (you hear it more in the daytime anyway, and much less frequently at night). The rooms are small, which we expected (Europe in general has smaller rooms, and we knew Ibis did from past experiences elsewhere). They are stark, but generally clean. Extra pillows would have been nice! The staff were super nice and very accommodating. We actually chatted quite a bit with them and they remembered us when the same staff were at the desk as we came and went. Another thing we really liked was that they had A/C in the rooms, which you don't find with smaller hotels (and is becoming more and more necessary in Amsterdam spring/summer, regardless of what the locals think; sorry, but 80 F w/o A/C doesn't work well). As for location, you just can't beat it. The train station is the main transport hub for the whole city, so you have trains, trams, busses, and the metro at your door. And it's in the Centrum, so everything is also quite walkable. What it comes down to--if you are seeking a luxury hotel experience, this may not be for you. If you just need a place to stay and don't mind forgoing the luxuries (super soft bed, large bath, coffee in the room, a nice wardrobe, etc.) this is a great option. You generally can't beat the location (with caveats about potential noise) and the price, and the customer service was top-notch for us. Overall we had a very positive experience.

Well, as the title says, the hotel is in wonderfall location. The staff really helped us with everything and we greatful for that. However, at our last night, the room wasn't clean. Beside of that, we had great time, great room, defentliy will come back!

The staff very helpful, room clean, the view at the canal from 9th floor was great. The score 9 instead of 10 is due to the breakfast (Did not fit to the breakfast list that we submit). All the rest positive.

Unfortunately, no one asked me when I checked out about my visit at your hotel -- one of many issues I faced during my stay. So I emailed my complaints to the team. They apologized but offered no compensation for the challenges I faced during my stay. As an Accor member, I have come to know and expect a certain standard of service at Accor hotels. However, I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel for a number of reasons: 1. I was awoken on my first morning at 9am with the cleaning staff banging on my door. This is way too early for a cleaner to be checking if they can clean my room. I never ended up getting my room cleaned because I left the 'do not disturb' sign on my door as I didn't want to be awoken again so early. 2. I was awoken every other morning, however, with banging from the repairs going on in the hotel. I never had a good sleep because of the constant banging, dropping of tools, workmen in the hallway talking, etc. If a hotel is going to be making repairs and it's going to make so much noise, they should notify guests in advance. I would have chosen another hotel. Surely the ability to have a quiet night sleep is the most basic thing a hotel can provide - this hotel failed on this account. 3. Because of the repairs, the general atmosphere in the hotel was one of disarray. There was sawdust in the elevator that got onto my clothes, there were tools and nails lying in the floor. This compromised the safety of guests. The hotel area being renovated should not have been open for use. 4. I spoke to someone at the front desk on my last night there and asked for a wake up call for my room the following morning. No one ever called. 5. I was surprised to learn that guests have to pay for coffee in the hotel restaurant. There is none in the rooms. Surely this is also a basic that all hotels provide. Overall, it was a horrible stay and will certainly not be staying with you again.

Absolute nightmare when checking in as I had done it on line but when we got there we still had to wait because everyone was just standing around the centre table. unfortunately the pin machine didn’t work to pay my city tax and I told them I would pay the next day, they then decided to contact me at 2100 hours and asked me to come down to reception to pay of which I said I would pay it in the morning. Then on my morning of departure there was a power cut , o was on the 9th floor and there was no one to contact until I walked down to the 5th floor, there should have been a member of staff on each floor directing people and advising what was going on. I then went back to my room had no power I ended up packing in the dark no shower facilities so you could see how angry I would be it was a shambles there were no staff to contact for help.
