The Grand Hotel is perfectly located in an old convent with a huge amount of history. The rooms are so comfortable, with the best bed I’ve ever slept in. Our room service breakfast was very elegant and five star delicious. Our bartender, Collin, made us craft cocktails and named one after me. I cannot say enough about the amazing service, attention to detail, and I must also thank Andreas for making our stay so special.

We had a four day stay with our daughters at Sofitel Legend the Grand and really loved it. We travel a lot and have learned to appreciate great service, which we definitely received. Our familu suite was sufficient in size and had great views to the canal (and opportunities for kids to spot boats). The butler service was super helpful and our kids were treated to many surprises. During our dinner at the hotel, we also made paper shoes with the kids that we later took to the fire place and the staff arranged st. Nicholaus gifts for the kids every morning. This was really nice and a great gesture. Finally, we also liked the pool and had a great time biking around the city. Looking forward to our next stay!

the spa facilities are not up to the standards of the hotel. We like to enjoy a good spa when we travel, this time it was quite disappointing: the pool was cold, small, slippery floor (fortunately I didn't fall in but I got a good scare), the wet sauna was cold too.

Sofitel Legend hotels always suggest a great experience, but the Grand Amsterdam is always a standout. There are few properties globally where the staff care as genuinely about the experience of their guests, where the property seamlessly blends hundreds of years of history with the latest modern comforts, and where, upon leaving, one is thinking about the next time one will be back. The hotel was very centered in the city and pleasant, however, I had a problem with booking the hotel room and the hotel was not very helpful with fixing the problem.

At The Grand we all take great pride in providing our guests with the highest standards of service, therefore I am very sorry to learn that we failed to meet your expectations on this occasion; please allow me to express my sincere apologies. It is true that when you book a room via a third party, this party is the one that decides whether or not exemptions are accepted. However, we always try to advise our guests the best way possible while trying to be flexible and offering creative solutions. Again, I am sorry to read that we did not meet your wishes , and I would like to once more apologize in name of the hotel team. Very nice hotel in the center of the city . Very good restaurants and room service . the staff is very warm. all places of interest are located within walking distance of r the hotel. the spa is a plus. the rooms are very beautiful and very modern. Maybe the best hotel in Amsterdam.

Fantastic stay in this property with excellent services. The Food and Beverage facilities are amazing and the fine dining restaurant is outstanding. The staff in the restaurant is well knowledgeable and their recommendations were great. The transportation service with Ramon is outstanding. He made my short stay memorable from the pick up from the airport and the drop off. I will definitely return.
