This was our second visit but we won’t come again. Unfortunately for the price there are much more amazing venues that care about the food experience as well. Unfortunately the Q Station reinforced my typical experience of hotel food. We have them so don’t put effort in make it cheap.

Of our 3 cottages S6 needed attention. Door didn’t open from bedroom nearest kitchen on opposite side of passage way. The light on kitchen was too dim. But S6 had best layout for whole family to dine

All staff were great except for one of the shuttle drivers who was rude to my husband & also rude to another couple with 2 small children. It would be lovely if the ceiling fan was directly over the bed. The bathroom was nice. We only stayed overnight so unfortunately we didn’t have time to go on any tours or use the facilities

We stayed for two nights as part of a package. Shuttle bus made every site easy to visit. Staff were friendly and helpful. Boilerhouse Restaurant was great as was the Views breakfast "cafe". History tour was great too.

We booked a 2 day stay in one of the 7 Isolation huts. These are 1 bedroom huts at the very end of the Qstation complex with great views over the harbour. The accommodation is 5min walking from the Boiler House restaurant and beach and 10min from the View where breakfast is served. This may seem remote, but we enjoyed the quietness and the walks through the park. The Qstation team runs an very efficient shuttle service that was always available when we needed it, just book early enough as it is a 5min drive from reception. The Boiler House has some nice dishes on the menu, but check the opening hours as it is not open 7 days a week. The View restaurant is open for breakfast only and although it may not have as great a selection as a city hotel, there is plenty to choose from (if the magpies or bush turkeys allow it). We thoroughly enjoyed the views, food, nature and history of the Qstation. Thank you team for a very enjoyable stay.
