Stay was nice but the whole building needs a refresh, 1 night I couldn’t sleep because of mosquitoes. The elevators feel & look old. Just small details to fix up

I have already reported the unwanted visitors to the housekeeping team and I am pleased to report our elevator refurbishment starts in May. This is quite a big undertaking with a lot of the parts being custom made in Europe but we are very much looking forward to the finished product. No room service, no restaurant and all due to covid. Looks like covid is being used as an excuse for everything.

I wish I had stayed with another hotel with room service. I wasn’t advised prior that the lobby restaurant/cafe was closed there was no room service. Many other Sydney hotels have room service despite covid. I found myself in a room with no minibar and no room service which was very inconvenient for a day with my baby. It meant that I couldn’t have anything to eat while the baby was asleep as I couldn’t go out. Had to ask three times in an hour for a high chair. No one asked me how my stay was when I checked out. Overpriced at $169 and I had a stressful time because of it.

From the first contact I made with Mantra via Bianca Blake?, everything that we needed for the wedding before during and after was immediately provided by mostly Bianca but others as well who were there when she was not. Bianca was thinking ahead for me and every question I asked or request made she has the solution. With a Covid wedding ( third time lucky with dates) and not living in Sydney, a million things had to be finalised at last minute and Bianca was absolutely our go-to professional on the spot. She put herself out for us for the three days. She has created our confidence in her and the Mantra name which means my family and I will look for the closest Mantra wherever we travel... and we are BIG travellers! The only thing that was disappointing was the slowness and confusing system of the lift, sorry.

It was my Daughters Hen's weekend and decided to treat ourselves to a weekend in the City. Have not stayed at the Mantra on Bond before and was not disappointed. Great location to everything, room was lovely, parking under the property perfect. The biggest thanks goes to Bianca Blake the Front Office Manager, she was so lovely, kind and welcoming. When we checked into our rooms opened the door and there was this beautiful card one for me and one for my daughter, bottle of wine and balloons, made sure the rooms were ready when we arrive, went above and beyond. Thank you so much for making the weekend perfect and memories we will cherish.

Loved our stay! We stayed the night for my sisters Hens and your staff was amazing! Bianca Blake was so lovely upon checking in and was so accomodating. She offered us a later check out after finding out the reason for our stay. Bianca also allowed for us to leave our bags while we went to have a quick lunch. Super happy with your service! We really appreciated it.

We were a little underwhelmed with the presentation of the unit with limited utensils in the kitchen, the decor (picture frames) are very uninviting. Presentation goes a long way and sandwich bags are not quite the solution, I have stayed in mantra resorts before and found their standard are high but this was very average. We were very disappointed to know there was room service. I checked the website a few times and nothing was noted, not even over the phone when I made enquiry was this mentioned. I was travelling with 3 kids and we had no food options which made things stressful. Overall the location is great, the cleanliness is fine. Not a terrible stay, hesitant to book again but not out of the question.

The good news is, this currently being reviewed as we speak so we anticipate it won't be too long before we open again. Check in was super pleasant and friendly. Being an accor member and receiving a lovely card and bottle of wine was a really nice touch. Executive apartment was lovely, well spaced and had everything. Was a really nice space with a great balcony also.

Tram just outside very convenient to travel up to the shops in Pitt St and QVB or down to the Quay. Room is spacious and modern. Atmosphere is relaxed and quiet.

Our room wasnt ready on checkin so we were given another on a lower floor - It was dimly lit and seemed old and run down . (room 406 from memory) There was a long wait for the lift with one being out of service . I had stayed here with a freind a few years ago and it seems either the quality had dropped or I was just unlucky with a sub standard room - members of my family stayed in a slitghtly less expensive room and seemed happier so maybe it was just bad luck
