From the time we arrived, we were greeted with very friendly staff who was very helpful and had us check-in very quickly. The stay was most enjoyable, the location was awesome with Circular Quays just a short stroll or the light rail was at the doorstep of the hotel. The rooms were great - had everything we needed including washing machine and dryer - the rooms were very roomy and the bed was very comfy.

I have stayed before and booked this room for a special birthday getaway with my sister We usually enjoy the Mantra Bond Street, and love the location, but I was disappointed with our visit as they had promised a birthday surprise but nothing was done The room was lovely and clean with a view over George St, however we were not given early check in, which i understand is not always available, but were promised a call when ready We received no call and were forced to line up with a crowd to request our room at 14:20 All the staff were very pleasant and it was busy but i just felt let down

The service from the reception was excellent - friendly and helpfull staff. We stayed 5 in a flat with only cutlery for 4 persons. This was fixed as well as additional coffee etc. The facilities are fine, however it is viablen (room 1007) that bathroom is old. For Europeans it could also be usefull with a short instruction on the wall on how to us the Air-con. Great facilities for swim an the possible to recycle without using room service.

I was there for five weeks. My room was only serviced twice. I was told my room would be serviced once a week and if I needed it serviced more often I could ask at the reception. After a week of being there my room wasn’t serviced. I went to the reception desk and ask to have it serviced. It didn’t get serviced. I asked a second time the next day. This time it got serviced. Next week came by and again it didn’t get serviced. I asked to have it serviced the next day. It didn’t get serviced. I asked again. This time it did. Next week I had to ask twice again. This time it didn’t get serviced after asking twice. At this point I just gave up. I went out and bought cleaning supplies myself and just cleaned the room myself the rest of my stay. Also I wanted to point out that the times my room was serviced, neither the bed sheet nor the bathroom towels got changed. The towels were simply hanged dirty and wet. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned at all. The toilet paper wasn’t replaced.

The only thing I can pass on is the coffee pods - I assume these are complimentary, and fully understand that only four are provided at a time (otherwise guests would take them home etc!), but I was using 2 per evening and the other 2 in the morning - except they weren't checked and refilled daily. Not a huge deal - I wasn't sure if they were meant to be refilled daily? But if they were, it wasn't happening. Otherwise, my stay at the Mantra was excellent! As I was in Sydney for work, it was nice to come back to a place that felt a bit like home and could easily unwind after some very busy work days!
