Second time staying here and it is ideal for access to quayside, opera house and botanic gardens. Short walk down to quayside from where you can see the bridge and opera house and get boat trips around the bay.

We were not informed about construction activities around the hotel, including one construction site right opposite the hotel with drilling & impact noise starting about 07:45 every morning. Room was slightly dated with no double glazing. Great location however, easy walking to the harbour and main shopping areas.

On arrival, there was no particular treatment of any sort to recognise the Gold Accor status. All that I was advised was to redeem the complimentary welcome beverage, to proceed to the bar. Late checkout which comes as a benefit wasn't proactively asked if necessary, and when I requested, it was only an hour later. Room upgrade wasn't mentioned either. All in all, not sure whether this is standard practice, but was expecting a different experience for my first trip as a gold member. Not sure if the membership is really even worth it now. The room itself, and it could have been just this particular one, but for a 2 bedroom that is meant to accommodate up to 5 adults, it is quite a small space overall. What is considered a "kitchen" is 1.5m x 1.5m and no more than 1 person can be in there at any given time. The only bathroom is quite crammed, and the laundry facilities are in there as well. Not as spacious as expected.
