Overall the stay was fine and the location is excellent. However, when we got access to our room (there were 4 of us), our beds had not been made into the configurations that we required for our stay. This was rectified when we left for the evening. The sofa bed was made up but with no additional bedding eg blanket or pillows and the number of face towels etc and bathroom amienties were not in ratio with the number of guests.

Noisy, needs updating

We stayed at Mantra on Bond on a Saturday night. It was chosen for being an apartment and close to Circular Quay. Firstly, the assistant manager kindly allowed us as Accor members to check-in early after arriving back from a cruise in the early morning. This was appreciated. Unfortunately, this is where the praise ends. The hotel needs updating, primarily as the windows are not double glazed making the room, on the 10th floor and even in my sister's room on the 12th floor extremely noisy. That night, patrons of nearby bars were screaming and shouting until 4am. This can't be controlled by the hotel but it sounded as if the people were right outside the window or the window was open (it wasn't) due to the fact there is zero sound proofing with the windows not being double glazed. I was awake all night and when paying over $400 for a room, this is not what I would expect. The hotel pool was ice cold and had cracked tiles around it, so this facility was unusable. I did notify the front desk who said they would get hotel maintenance to check it. It didn't improve. The finishing in the rooms was not reflective of a 4 star hotel. I was very unhappy with paying the amount of money I did and would not recommend this hotel to others.
