It was confusing to find, as there was another Pullman directly over the road, and our Uber driver was convinced we had given him the wrong address. I imagine this is a common issue, but not really sure what you can do about it, other than ensure guests are careful when advising the drop off point. Excellent location if you are cruising out of Cairns as it's the closest point to the cruise terminal. The hotel's foyer is stunning, however there were no doormen or people to greet on arrival, which is unusual for a 5 star property. The check in was seamless, with friendly and efficient check in teams. The questions we had about the pool, restaurant, local transportation etc were clearly and concisely advised. The room was large, very clean and the bed super comfortable. The views were Ok, as the room is on a lower floor (5) however it did come with "mountain views" as expressed in the room type. The included bathroom amenities were lovely, and were overall, one of the best we have had  in hotels lately. The pool areas were very open and clean, however there was next to no shade, with only one chair available in the shade, all others were in direct sunlight,  so with all the concrete around, it made the pool experience quite uncomfortable. The breakfast was good, but it could have been better, as it was not well staffed. The chef on the egg station was a bit lacklustre, and the variety of items was good but not great. Overall, the breakfast was 6.5/10 whilst the hotel itself and stay overall was 9/10.

Our overall stay/experience was very good. The following is not a complaint, just a heads up so you are aware. Check-in was slow, even though I checked in on line the day prior to check-in. This may be due to the extra charges and deposit not mentioned or requested in the online check-in. $20 per night for parking $50 per night deposit??? Even though 3 nights accommodation were paid for in advance. Check-out was also slow, at 9.30am only one staff member was available to attend to guests at the desk. He was serving one person with 3 guests waiting to be served. This one staff member served all 4 guests with no assistance, I was the fourth guest. I thought he did very well and was very efficient, considering one guess gave him a spray (it wasn’t me). The Accor section of the reception desk was unattended for the entire time I was waiting to be served. Room 1107 has an issue with the A/C, we could not adjust the temperature any lower than 19.5deg. Good for penguins, but a bit chilly for us😊 I did mention this at check-out, but I would not hold it against the staff member if he forgot to report it, he was under the pump. We will certainly be staying there again. Cheers
