The location is the greatest advantage of this hotel - right on the esplanade with easy access to the reef fleet terminal. The room was spacious too. The amenities were inadequate though, but that’s not really so troublesome. The layout of the bathroom could have been better designed - the door doesn’t close. The staff was very friendly and courteous, always willing to help with a smile.

The first room we were showed was extemeley dated and the furniture was old and worn. We asked for another room. It was a liitle better. So we took that room. The staff were excellent and very helpful.

Great stay. Lose to everything. Only problem was lifts not working during our stay. Having to carry suitcases wasn’t much fun. I wouldn’t have minded too much but to only have one lift working and then it being taken off line was not ideal during a busy time.

We had 5 rooms for 10 days at Mantra Esplanade Cairns. The rooms were spacious and clean. The location was our reason for choosing the hotel. It is an easy walk to cafes and restaurants, museums, the waterfront, galleries and Woolies. The only thing that would it better was an onsite breakfast.

Good location when staying in Cairns. It's an older property but appears well maintained. Room, bathroom & balcony was very clean. With the entry from the hallway giving access to two rooms there was some sound leakage but nothing extreme. There was also some water hammer when first using the shower. I'd be happy to stay here again.
