I have stayed in this hotel about several dozen nights in the last three in four years. I love this hotel. It is very convenient to the home of friends. I like the fact it is next to the Thiou, but one step removed from the tourist filled area. It has every service near; the train/bus depot, groceries, laverie, etc. And the staff are the best. I have a crush on Ramona, who does the breakfast. They have all helped me in some way or another. And, of course, the balconies with views of the mountains. No matter the weather. However, this last visit, my room had no balcony and no window at all. Only a skylite. That was a shock. Also, there is no light near the mirror in the bathroom or near the mirror in the entry. Also, no hook or bar for a towel near the sink. And, the furniture barely fit around the bed. The bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean. Everything worked flawlessly. But, I think the room was an afterthought. I understand, with renovations going on and full occupancy from skiers, I was probably lucky to get a room at all. But, no windows should come with a warning. All the best.

Probably my fifth or sixth stay at this hotel. Close and convenient to everything by foot, but just off the center of tourist bustle. So, it is quiet. Free coffee and tea 24/7 in the lobby really is a blessing.

I was disappointed with my experience. I booked a room one year in advance and, due to a system error, the reservation was automatically registered for one person only, even though it was always my intention to stay with another guest. When I arrived at the hotel, I was unexpectedly charged an additional fee for the second breakfast, with no flexibility shown. It is also worth noting that, despite having an account, my reservation disappeared from my customer area without explanation, making it impossible to verify the number of guests beforehand. I even had to send an email to confirm whether the booking had been correctly made. It was an unpleasant situation, and not something I expect from a chain like Accor. I hope these procedures are reviewed to prevent other customers from experiencing the same issue.
