the lobby / service desk and the 1st floor we're under construction, the only way to access the elevator to a very small winding dangerous staircase leading to the second floor level. absolutely unprofessional

Bonjour, Nous sommes désolés que votre séjour n'ait pas répondu à vos attentes, Il est vrai que nous avons été contraints de bloquer l'accès à l'ascenseur du rez-de-chaussée à cause des travaux et nous en sommes profondément désolés. En ce qui concerne le petit déjeuner, celui-ci est compris dans le prix de la chambre, et comme expliqué dans nos conditions de vente, nous n'effectuons pas de remboursement si l'annulation n'est pas demandée au moins 24h avant le séjour. I have stayed in this hotel about several dozen nights in the last three in four years. I love this hotel. It is very convenient to the home of friends. I like the fact it is next to the Thiou, but one step removed from the tourist filled area. It has every service near; the train/bus depot, groceries, laverie, etc. And the staff are the best. I have a crush on Ramona, who does the breakfast. They have all helped me in some way or another. And, of course, the balconies with views of the mountains. No matter the weather. However, this last visit, my room had no balcony and no window at all. Only a skylite. That was a shock. Also, there is no light near the mirror in the bathroom or near the mirror in the entry. Also, no hook or bar for a towel near the sink. And, the furniture barely fit around the bed. The bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean. Everything worked flawlessly. But, I think the room was an afterthought. I understand, with renovations going on and full occupancy from skiers, I was probably lucky to get a room at all. But, no windows should come with a warning. All the best.

Probably my fifth or sixth stay at this hotel. Close and convenient to everything by foot, but just off the center of tourist bustle. So, it is quiet. Free coffee and tea 24/7 in the lobby really is a blessing.
