Regarding the sleeping arrangements, our apartments for four guests are equipped with a double bed and two genuine single beds, presented in sofa configuration upon arrival in order to preserve the living space. The mattresses are already fitted with sheets, while the additional bedding is prepared under a cover. Upon request, we can also have the beds prepared before arrival. We have also taken note of your comments regarding cleanliness, the condition of certain equipment and the breakfast service. it was ok showers were horrible very weak water flow and the balance btwn cold and hot was bad. its either very hot or all cold. no inbetween. also the fact that there is no mirror in the first floor of the apartment is very inconvient . also the elevators are not very efficient and waiting time is often more than it should be

Well located, clean, nice staff. The only thing is after 2 days i would have preferred towel change, but apart from that we really like the hotel. Even the breakfast/lounge area was really nice and relaxing and kids could enjoy some games while we were booking online.

We chose Adagio Annecy because it was one of the few Accor properties in the area that allowed us to book a single room for two adults and two children. We paid over €300 for one night on a refundable rate, which is an extremely high price and, frankly, close to what you would expect to pay for a five-star hotel. Unfortunately, the experience was a huge disappointment. Although the location is convenient and within walking distance of Annecy's city centre, the hotel itself has very little appeal. The surrounding area feels relatively new, but the building feels old and dated. The reception area is surprisingly small, and the corridors and rooms are dark, poorly lit and outdated, with an almost hospital-like atmosphere. Things got worse when we entered our room. It was not properly clean, and the children's bed had not even been prepared. Opening it requires moving tables and furniture around and doing quite a bit of rearranging just to make the room usable for four people. For a hotel specifically selling the room as suitable for two adults and two children, this is difficult to understand. On top of that, several things in the room did not work properly, adding to the feeling that the property is poorly maintained and far below what we expected. The final disappointment came at breakfast, which we had also paid for. Of all the hotels we stayed at during this trip, this was easily the breakfast with the least variety. Even worse, when we arrived, several basic items were simply missing. There were not even enough glasses available, for example, and we had to wait quite some time before they were eventually replenished. Both in terms of variety and availability, the breakfast offering was extremely poor and disappointing, especially considering the overall price we had paid for our stay. We are loyal Accor customers and have stayed at many Accor properties over the years, but this was by far our biggest disappointment with the group. Had this been a budget stay, some of these shortcomings might have been easier to accept. But at more than €300 per night, plus a paid breakfast, the value for money was simply unacceptable. At this price point, guests should expect a clean, comfortable and well-maintained room ready on arrival, together with a properly stocked breakfast. Unfortunately, that was very far from our experience at Adagio Annecy.

We really appreciated the fact that the hotel was so close to Annecy station and a short walk from the lake. It was lovely and quiet and the air conditioning was most welcome and enjoyed! My only disappointment was the fact that the TV was very old and not a Smart TV so we could not enjoy television at the end of the day and the wi-fi network was public, not private, so we could not use it safely.

Initial good first impressions were quickly dashed by the actual experience itself. Email comms in advance with Clement and Marie were excellent - however on arrival, we were checked in around 3pm by a surly man who was clearly disinterested in looking after Accor's customers. Or maybe he was having a bad day, however having worked in hospitality myself, it's my view that anyone 'having a bad day' needs to learn (or be trained in) how to park how they're feeling when serving a customer during the 5 minute check in process. Add to this an 'air conditioned' room in the heat of the Annecy summer that was far from air conditioned (unlike the beautifully air conditioned lobby) and a tiny studio apartment (with a sink that refused to drain despite putting 2 kettles full of boiling water down it) and I felt like I was in some low rent competitor's offering - NOT an Accor brand. If Accor's leadership team really wants to know how to get the Apart-hotel concept right, I recommend you do a mystery shop with Citadines, who we stayed with in Paris last year - and who charged us about the same rate for a bigger space in the heart of the nation's capital. Such a shame. A bad end to a lovely holiday in France.

The staff were lovely and kind and helpful. The room was fine. The bed was hard and the duvet far too hot - we didn't sleep well at all and were exhausted the next day. A top sheet would be so helpful, as would stable aircon that doesn't vary between too cold and too warm. The kitchen needs a bottle opener; we bought beverages in the lobby shop but couldn't open them. While taking a shower, the bath was VERY slippery, which was rather scary. Someone is going to get hurt. One of the two lifts was out of order and, surprisingly for a modern building, the staff with their big carts have to use the same lift as the guests. This can't be very efficient for the staff and it's not ideal for guests. I understand the hotel doesn't repair the lifts and it's an exterior company, but that doesn't change the long waits for the lift. The hotel location is good and a guest laundry is great, but I'm not sure I'd stay here again.

... our experience was disappointing. One of the lifts was out of service throughout our four-night stay, forcing us to climb six flights of stairs each time. The complimentary water fountain only provided lukewarm water despite the ongoing heatwave, and the attitude of the cleaning staff came across as borderline rude.

Whilst the staff were friendly and the lobby area modern and fun, the rest of the accommodation and apartments are very dated and basic with a few light fixtures changed to look modernised. There were 2 lifts in the hotel and one of them broken for our entire stay meaning that the entire hotel had to wait for one lift. We were on the 6th floor with a child so could not practically take the stairs each time. The AC is very dated and hardly worked, the dishwasher was broken in our apartment and the water runs very slow. Sadly the balcony area had not been cleaned either so we were welcomed by the previous guests cigarette ends. We have stayed in lots of Accor accommodation and we more booked for this trip so we were extremely disappointed by this one as it was not up to standard. Definitely would call this 3* accommodation at best.

We fully understand how frustrating the long waiting times must have been, particularly when travelling with a child and staying on the sixth floor. Unfortunately, elevator repairs can only be carried out by a specialized external company, and we depend on their intervention schedules. Nevertheless, we regret the impact this had on your experience. We are also sorry to hear about the issues you encountered in your apartment, including the air conditioning, the dishwasher, the low water pressure, and the condition of the balcony upon arrival. Please accept our sincere apologies for these shortcomings, which do not reflect the standards we strive to provide. Your comments have been shared with the relevant teams so that corrective actions can be taken. We are particularly disappointed to learn that, as a regular guest of Accor properties, you felt that our residence did not meet your expectations. A small but lovely studio with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The beautiful centre of Annecy is within easy walking distance, which was perfect for us. Annecy was a wonderful surprise during our journey to the South of France! The studio has a slightly camping-like feel due to its compact size, but the room is well equipped and has all the necessary facilities. A great little stopover in a beautiful city!

Perfectly located, close to the train station, to explore Annecy. Good and comfortable beds, and sufficiently roomy for the kids. Also the AC worked very well (which was necessary as when we stayed it was 30 degrees plus in Annecy). On the flip side, the rooms are visibly 'well used' and might need a restoration soon, and also it is difficult to sleep with the windows open as you are close to a busy street and close to the train station.
