The hotel is well maintained, the breakfast is good, it has free parking with charging facilities but given it’s a bit dated and outside Annecy it’s rather expensive. The restaurant was also not open, there was only a bbq option which was not expected and we had especially looked for a hotel with a restaurant as we like eating at the hotel.

The important amenities of a powerful air-conditioner and mini- fridge were present. Having just stayed at a hotel with neither during a heatwave we felt we had returned to civilization. The room was spacious. The carpet and furniture were in very good condition, perhaps new. There was plenty of parking, which was free. Our Privilege room had a complimentary bottle of Coke, still water, apricot juice and grapefruit juice in the min-fridge. There was a water filtration unit in the corridor that dispensed cool water. The bartender was very nice about obliging our request for a glass of ice. There were a myriad of prepared food choices available for purchase in the lobby. We love this feature of many Accor hotels. There were also many choices of ice cream novelties available for purchase. So many amenities are present to ensure a very comfortable stay. However, housekeeping fell short. The interior of the mini-fridge needed a quick wipe-down.Far more egregious was the disgusting state of the toilet. The entire bottom of the bowl was covered in a thick layer of a brown substance we decided was an algae. We had seen some brownish algae in toilet bowls in public washrooms on a rare occasion. We’ve stayed in many Accor properties in various countries and know that they’re a bit quirky when updating properties. For example, last month we stayed at the Fairmont Jasper Lodge in Canada. Our cabin was completely updated but the baseboards and bathroom door weren’t replaced or painted. They were chipped and dirty. So we chalked it up to being an old decrepit toilet. To our horror, we noticed pieces of brown matter detaching and floating to the surface. We then realized it wasn’t fungus but it was fecal matter. It was too late in the evening to request housekeeping. We took a cup, filled it with warm soapy water and poured it in the toilet. After setting for a couple of hours the fecal matter was loosened and most of it was able to be flushed out. I am a very frequent traveler and this is the filthiest bathroom I’ve ever encountered traveling the world. All the amenities on offer at this fantastic hotel could not compensate for this disgusting experience.

I came for a week to visit with my grandson and his mother. The weather was very hot, but the air conditioning of the hotel is very good, and the pool was the best place for us. The restaurant, bar and friendly staff allowed us to relax in comfort without leaving. It was all quite perfect.

We eat at the restaurant because we where tired from the long drive. Food was eadible but nothing special. I was happy i could buy an icercream as dessert. You had soap but as a women didnt use the shampoo. Carpetted rooms. Vacuum was used but since i have astma i felt it in the morning. Beds where comfortable.

I booked this hotel on a business trip expecting just a nice affordable stay and was very pleasantly surprised with the spa. It was very affordable, and I had it to myself which was an added bonus after a long drive. Soothing music, hot tub, sauna and hamam made for a relaxing evening and a great sleep before an early departure.

It was interesting to see how it worked. There was no illumination to help us find the hotel and no restaurant where we could have dinner. After our positive experience at the Mercure Hotel in Belfort, it was really strange.

Pleasant and helpful staff facilitated slightly early check-in, and guided during our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. However, I found paper cups for beverages in this Accor property also, maybe indicating this as a standard fit across all Accor hotels? This could be improved. The breakfast fare was minimal, maybe because I went in amongst the first few customers as the restaurant opened. Can be improved. The hotel is slightly away from the city centre, but cabs are available. If booking for pick-ups, intimate the cab driver to approach from the front gate as the rear gate will not be opened. I lost some time in this as the cab driver had reached the rear gate and found it difficult to reroute himself to the front gate thereafter.
