Stayed here before so was aware of the location which for us was fine. It's a 20 minute walk into town, or there are busses nearby which the hotel can help you find out about. Room was fine, decent size with all you'd expect. The slight disappointment I have is with one members of the reception team in particular who was decidedly frosty and generally not on the positive scale. We also found it hard to believe that the restaurant was not open on a Saturday night which was somewhat disappointing. There was also a lot of building work going on, which is fine, but it did impinge on the car park and finding space in it. It was also quite a bit more expensive than it was five years ago, and arguably we could have had better value and more positivity elsewhere.

We found this hotel to be absolutely fine for our needs. If you don’t want to pay top dollar and want value for money then I think this option is reasonable. I think it’s fair to point out that this hotel is a 30 minute mainly downhill walk into Annecy and completely do-able. We did not catch a bus or get a taxi any of the times we walked in and back ( mainly because we felt the need to walk off all the delicious food and drink consumed!) There is a generous sized fridge provided in the room so we decided to shop for our own breakfast from the local supermarket. I can never justify spending 20 euros per head on a breakfast where I don’t necessarily like what’s available. The hotel seems to have a strange routine when it comes to its restaurant opening hours. There didn’t seem to be any service available during evening hours over the weekend which we thought seemed strange. We weren’t too bothered though - we walked into Annecy but for those that might want something a bit more local - there isn’t any restaurants close by at all. The pool is a very welcome place to cool off and relax and the hotel does provide pool towels should you need them. The room was particularly comfortable with ample pillows provided. The room was also sound proofed so you don’t hear any noise from around. All in all a good stay. Would recommend.

Hotel family room was quite ok sized, but not at the level you would expect at the price we paid. Air condition was not able to cool room to comfortable temperature, although we set it to minimum 18 c. That's why we needed to sleep without blanket. The worst part was that they are expanding hotel and above us was construction work. They started hammering etc. monday on 7:45. When it was raining it was not possible to open window since water from construction scaffolding would drop in to our room. Window glass was also dirty. Hotel would also need painting from outside. Pool was nice and staff was friendly and helpful, but did not fully understood our complains in english. Hotel is quite far away from Annecy city so that makes prices even more expensive. There was good parking space for car though.

Dear Mr S., We sincerely apologize for all the inconveniences that you encountered during your stay. We are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us and that you felt you were not understood by the staff. For the air condition a technician has come to fix it last week. Concerning the construction works, we are building a wellness area to provide our guests a better experience but normally they should not have started that early in the morning, and we really apologize for this. To answer to your reclamation we have made a refund of 120€ on your credit card. Thank you and once again sorry for your bad stay. Best Regards, Mercure Team
