Well located but that’s about the only good thing I can say about this hotel. It is clearly not a 4 star hotel as it claims to be. Bare bones - none of the frills you would expect at a 4 star hotel. It’s on the train station and every train shakes up the room so we couldn’t sleep at night. The first day room cleaning didn’t even empty the trash or clear the dirty (plastic) coffee cups. When we complained about it nothing was done. The hotel (paid) garage had an entrance so narrow I had to fold the mirrors from both sides of the car to fit through. The parking spaces we impossible to get in and out from they were so cramped. We were traveling through France and this is by far the worst hotel we stayed at on our trip.

We would like to share some feedback regarding our recent stay at the hotel in Annecy. Upon entering our room on the day of arrival, we were immediately met with a strong smell of urine. We also noticed mould on the silicone seal around the bathtub/shower, which gave the bathroom an unclean appearance. In addition, the safe in our room was not working. When we reported the issue with the safe to the receptionist, we were simply told that none of the safes in the entire hotel were working. We found this response rather disappointing, as no apology or alternative solution was offered. We also found the same receptionist to be unfriendly during check-in and throughout our stay, which certainly did not contribute to a welcoming experience. We have stayed at several Novotel hotels in different cities over the years and have always been very satisfied with our experiences. That is why we were particularly disappointed by our stay at your hotel in Annecy. We hope you will take our comments into consideration, as we believe they could help improve the experience for future guests.

We booked a room for 3 and was prepared for 2. No ID asked at the check in: we then received a call from the reception at 11 pm asking for the name of my wife and daughter. No baggage tags given by the concierge leaving the bags for the day on check out date.

Short stay for pleasure. The hotel was easy to access and room where as expected clean and comfortable. Everything worked fine. We were however a bit surprised by the lack of customer care from the personell.

Conveniently located near bus station but not easy to find the entrance as you have to walk around the building to access. A short walk to the shopping area and old town.
