Well located, great service. Comfortable room

We had a lovely stay in Le Splendid. We really loved the location being out of the old town but so close to the lake and all the bars, restaurants and activities. We did not have breakfast or drinks in the bar, which was always empty, but the space was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful when engaged, and the hotel definitely gives a more premium experience such as providing a ninja creami in the foyer in the afternoon alongside sweet treats. It doesn't look or feel tired or dated, and we really loved its aesthetic. There were a few factors that left us questioning whether we were completely happy with the more premium price paid that were perhaps specific to our room (107). Firstly, a lakeside room will be lakeside but this does not mean a view of the lake. We were looking out onto the fire escape and trees. Secondly, the hotel is on a busy main road. This did mean we noticed a lot of emergency services vehicles passing with sirens on, although this never disturbed our sleep. Thirdly, our room was quirky, with 2 or 3 steps leading up to it and then back down within the room - this would not be great for those struggling with stairs. It also wasn't a blackout situation - we had to trap the curtain closed behind a stool as well as cover the bright green light of the power switch for the air-conditioning, both of which directed their light at the headboard of the the bed. Finally, the room did not smell on arrival, but had a pretty pervasive odour of sewerage throughout our stay once we were using the water and air-conditioning (the air-conditioning also couldn't be set lower than 22°c). It did seem to lessen by the end of our 3 days (or we acclimatised), and didn't cause us to ask to move rooms as we spent so mucn time out, but definitely did factor into how we felt about our experience for the price. These things are not complaints, merely factors that we took into consideration in reviewing the hotel. We did not feel overly disappointed or compelled to move rooms, but they did make us question the price we paid. Overall, we would definitely go back, but maybe ask for a different room on the lakeside and hope those experiences were just a drawbacks to the price we paid for our particular room as everything else was great.

Overall a good experience with the room and staff. Our one issue was the breakfast setup with poor seating, wrong type of chairs to sit on, too low and no back support. The tables for two people were packed in, on top of each other with no room to move around. The breakfast bar area was too small in length and so was always packed with people trying to access the food etc. At the peak times lots of complaints from guests. Felt sorry for the staff in having to manage this arrangement.

Lovely greeting upon arrival and our room was ready . Room 501 balcony room with slight view of the lake . Rooms art deco . Not a lot of storage space but I dare say most people only staying for a few days . Great shower . Lovely gesture of complimentary mini bar re stocked each day .hotel a it on the expensive side but location made up for it. Annecy is the most charming town with lovely cafes & restaurants . Staff in hotel very friendly and breakfast each morning was excellent . Would def return . Thank you for an excellent stay .

Staff are very courteous and responsive. Breakfast is nice and fresh. Dinner options on the menu are re to er limited, but understandable as it is a small hotel. And it is not an issuer’s there are lots of restaurants within 1/2 min walk.

Helpful staff. Rooms good but terrace rooms a bit noisy on terrace due to busy road below. Breakfast good but seating and table layout not comfortable due to being bar area during day. Seats too low and back wrong angle for eating.

The hotel’s location is excellent, as it is within walking distance of most of Annecy’s main attractions. The room was spacious, the air conditioning worked very well, and our stay was comfortable overall. I would also like to recognize one of the senior reception staff members, who was exceptionally polite, professional, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. His excellent attitude made a very positive impression. There are, however, a few areas that could be improved. Drinking water was not provided in the room; instead, only an empty reusable bottle was available for guests to refill. In addition, there was no porter or luggage assistance service upon arrival. Finally, I had an uncomfortable interaction with one of the housekeeping staff members. After I placed a small bag of trash outside the room near the staff service door, I felt that I received an unfriendly and disapproving look. While I understand that this may have been a misunderstanding, I believe that guests should always feel welcomed and treated respectfully.

Nice place of hotel every things nearby

The hotel is in an ideal location, and the rooms were absolutely spotless. However, there were several issues that negatively impacted my overall experience. The communication regarding the A/C and how it functions was not clear. As I was staying during a heatwave, this was particularly important. The instructions in the room state that, by law, the room must remain at a specific temperature, but that guests can request an additional 3°C of cooling if desired. Unfortunately, this did not appear to work, which led me to contact the front desk because the room was not cooling properly. The front desk staff member working that evening agreed that the A/C did not seem to be cooling and said that maintenance would look into it. However, when I followed up the next morning, I was told by the next front desk staff member that there was nothing wrong with the A/C. If the system simply does not have the capability to cool the room beyond a certain temperature, this should be clearly communicated to guests in advance, ideally at check-in. That would have set appropriate expectations and avoided the confusion. I also found the daytime front desk service disappointing. The woman working the front desk during the day was incredibly lacking in friendliness and did not offer even basic greetings. This was surprising and not what I would expect from this type of hotel, where warm and welcoming service should be part of the experience. Additionally, there was a loud system in the room that repeatedly turned on and off every 2–3 minutes throughout the entire evening. The constant noise made it very difficult to relax and sleep, further impacting the quality of my stay. Overall, while the location is excellent and the rooms are very clean, this was my least favorite hotel of the two-week vacation. The combination of unclear communication about the A/C, inconsistent information from the front desk, a lack of warmth and friendliness from the woman who worked the daytime staff, and the persistent noise in the room made for a disappointing stay.

We stayed one night to check out lake annecy and this hotel was the perfect location to do just that. Comfortable accommodation for our family of 4, right near the lake, good air and friendly staff!

We stayed in a lake side room on the 5th floor. Location was fantastic and right near the lake and old town. Service was fantastic, cold and sparkling water was available in the foyer at all times, and the breakfast was good. Our room was spacious and clean with good air conditioning. We would definitely return.

I booked a corner bell over the Terrace the day in advertently changed. I called 10 minutes later after booking and was told it was nonrefundable switched to a Lakeside room had no view the lake and absolute reeked of sewage. I complained while we are gone and they clean the room, which then smelled like sewage, wet dog and was damp will never stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay from beginning to end. The location is perfect for investigating Annecy and the surrounding area. Our room was spacious, clean and well appointed. We loved having the terrace. Every staff member we met was friendly and helpful. Just a great stay!
