There’s no upgrade on my room whatsoever, the reception told me ‘everything’s booked’, which is not entirely true because I do see some people checking in later in the day with a bigger room. OK- rooms aside, this hotel is weird in the way it does have a breakfast place, but the breakfast is not included even with diamond membership. I ended up eating outside but it’s bothering to know while they do have a breakfast option; they don’t really have it (or at least free for diamond members)

We booked for one night at short notice due to another cancellation. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They gave Aus a complimentary room upgrade ❤️ The room was beautiful with a balcony overlooking the street. So we picked up a bottle of wine from the chiller and enjoyed the evening on the balcony, people watching

We booked this because the Mercure has great customer service reviews and the location is excellent for a city break. They were excellent and prompt answering quetsions about parking and very helpful. Our corner room was very small, but fine for 2 nights. Longer may have been difficult as little space for luggage so I'd not book that room for a longer stay. Super friendly staff everywhere. Nice touches, such as free water bottles during the fete de music. Great to have cold water options on tap in the lobby. Would definitely recommend.

I stayed 2 nights in the Mecure Annecy Centre and to say I am appalled at the condition of a premier room #207 is an understatement. It is described as having a balcony and chairS (plural) and table so we could enjoy drinks or breakfast there. There was only 1 chair and a table folded up and for good reason as you couldn’t possibly get 2 people on there to eat or have drinks. The toilet was so small you had to back into it and then open the door in order to turn around to flush it. The walls of the toilet were covered in brown stains and the light switch had to be continuously flicked to get it to come on. There was also supposed to be a business desk! There was a tiny table and vinyl covered chair which was peeling and black bits of vinyl came off on anything that touched it. The safe was not secured to anything so someone could just walk off with it. The entire room was dingy and dirty. I am seriously unhappy that I paid £432.86 and then wasted 2000 reward points bringing the total down to £398.36. My friends who are travelling with us are experiencing even worse issues with their room #204 We have messaged the hotel but had no reply. The one redeeming feature of this hotel is the gentleman who checked us in. Other than that the entire stay has been a total waste of money. I have stayed in cleaner and more spacious Ibis budget hotels.

The hotel is well located. The complete staff of the hotel were very kind and helpful. We stayed as a couple for 4 nights and the room was very small to stay for many days. For a 4 star hotel, we would expect more comfort and amenities.No fridge in the room, which was shocking for us. We had to give to the conciergerie to keep in fridge what we bought, as we didn’t have any other choice.When you allocate rooms you need to consider the duration of the stay. Several hours per day we had to stick in that small room as it was raining. We will think twice before booking a Mercure Hotel next time.

Good location. Staff especially helpful and do a good job the hotel is in old property and not up to Mercure standards the Ibis Styles I have stayed in are a lot better

No parking close to the hotel for an SUV. The rooms are very small with barely any space in the bathroom to move around. The bed was too short even for someone who is 180cm. Breakfast was very minimal with very little space which may have been a problem if more people turned up. Very unhappy and dissatisfied with this hotel.
