Comfortable room, and nicely renovated recently. This resulted unfortunately in a persistent paint smell, that led me to sleep with the window wide open (that is possible thanks to the location but not sufficient to get a nice atmosphere). May I suggest the use of some essential oils 'purifying' diffusions (peppermint, vanilla extract, lemon) or putting lemon in the rooms where they are empty to get rid of this. Besides, it would be good to check the equipment between each stay. The safe started bipping with an unpleasant alarm as soon as I tried to use it because the battery was low. A simple battery 9V would do the trick and this might be spotted immediately.

I had the best time at this hotel, the neighbourhood was great, perfectly situated for anyone looking to get into the city centre easily. The staff were excellent and so helpful, everyday they checked in on us and made sure we were having a good stay. I'm definitely recommending this Mercure for anyone visiting Paris.

I stayed for 10 nights. 4 times in that stay staff ignored the do not disturb sign and barged into the room. After a long night at work on Friday I wanted to sleep in but they would keep knocking and opening the door even with the do not disturb sign being up. Complained at reception but it seemed to make no difference. Staff were quite polite.
