It was a business like stay. Met expectations of a Novotel stay, but that's all. Nothing memorable or worth special mention. Some disappointments though: welcome amenities for Platinum member was miserly and replies to emails took forever (if they were even replied).

Everything was good. Room ok,bathroom ok. Breakfast not with huge variety but tasty and fresh. Location very good near tram station just 5 stops to old city and 2 stops from train station. The only negative was the mattress and especially pillows which were very hard.

The location of the hotel was perfect for us getting all around Basel. The overnight front desk staff was what we appreciated most! After a canceled flight we returned late on a Sunday evening with no accommodations or dinner options since most restaurants were closed. After we tried and failed to order a pizza our kids would eat the front desk staff went above and beyond to make the rest of our night amazing and help us feed our tired and hungry family.

Superb location, tram stop to the centre is outside the hotel. The train station is 10 minutes walk away. All the staff were friendly. The hotel was comfortable, clean and I felt safe. The breakfast choice was plenty. Would definitely recommend.
