We had a very enjoyable 2 night stay in the Pullman, Basel. All of the staff were very friendly, accommodating and highly professional. The front desk team were particularly welcoming and helpful. The hotel is bright, airy and very well maintained. The buffet breakfast is excellent.

Friendly receptionist and convenient location. Clean. Stay was fine, room felt a little tired and simple things such as location of plugs had not been thought through, or no water was provided in room. Felt closer to a 3* standard. Felt very overpriced relative to the experience and I would not stay again if other options nearby such as the Marriott (where I have stayed before) had availability. Additionally, I mistakenly took home an adapter plug that had been lent to me at reception. While this was my fault entirely, I was very shocked to learn typical charge for this is 50CHF... felt like extortion. As a gesture of 'good will' the hotel offered a charge of 25CHF (roughly double the price of even premium outlets such as the airport). Fine, but left a sour taste in my mouth after spending approx. 430CHF + for one night for a mediocre stay.

Overall good. Requested English breakfast tea but not delivered to room. Downstairs breakfasts are overpriced. Mattress uncomfortable and created sore back.

From the warm welcome to the beautiful room with incredibly comfortable beds, everything was simply wonderful! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. A special thank-you also goes to the gentleman at the bar in the morning. Even though we had not booked breakfast, he still gave us two coffees “on the house.” We felt very welcome—thank you so much for that! A wonderful hotel with an even more wonderful team!

The room was not prepared until 15.30h which was after the agreed check in time. These things happen but it was very inconvenient when you’re coming with a baby and after long trip.

Mixed feelings on arrival and didn’t change on my check out. I was in the residence for four nights- the lighting in the room was appalling, practically dark and the lights wouldn’t come on when I pressed the button in the middle of the night - it felt overly complicated for no reason. the bathroom products were only refilled once in my last night, there was no additional toothpaste etc. I thought the size of the room for four nights was very poor, the toilet area was tiny. On return one evening there was a strange smell but I didn’t have time to go back to reception and it dissipated when I left the door open for a min. The window didn’t open at all. The reception didn’t have any English breakfast tea bags when I asked but I saw them at breakfast - felt this was a small but just something that showed the reception wasn’t informed/willing to check. I probably wouldn’t stay again as I’ve stayed in nicer hotels in Basel for the same price.

I was in Basel for 3 days for a symposium. The hotel is nicely located, with plenty of places to eat in the area, and trams stopping just across the road. Very enjoyable stay.

Staff is great, pillows and beds are super comfy. The location is perfect. The only minor issue was the air condition in the room, I didn't figure out how to turn it off or set desired temperature. Not sure if that was possible at all.
