It was horribly uncomfortable in my room. The window does not open. I had the fan on high and the temperature as low as it would go. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. In the morning I told the front desk and she said they would send someone up to open the window. This was at 7am, the person didn't arrive at my room until 10. I did not sleep well at all.

Although I have been not the first time at this Ibis Hotel , this time I was disappointet with the comfort of the room. I have checked in to room 417. The room was quite hot and sticky as I entered. I turnend on the aircon to the max and as low as possible. I didn't focus anymore on the temperature and trusted the tempetature will decrease over time. As it is not possible to open the window I had to wait and hope the aircon does its job. But I was wrong. At 03.00h I couldn't sleep anymore.I woke up all the time. So I headed down to the reception in order to get help. But no one was there and the emergency number no one picked up. I went down at 06.00h and asked for the handle to open the window. He apologised for the circumstances at the desk The other two nights due the open window I could sleep well. I have checked the aircons airflow which was almost not noticible in the first night. So I think something with the aircon was not right. Otherwise all ok. Clean and staff is helpful when they are there. The room is rather small but ok for 1-3 nights.

Room was too hot even with airconditioning on full. Despite leaving towels hanging they changed them every day unnecessarily.

A budget-hotel close to the main station of Basel, with simple but clean rooms and a very good breakfast (including gluten-free options). The room's temperature was hard to change and sadly no windows could be opened but besides of that good value for the price.
