I booked the accommodation as I failed to board the fully booked train to France, that was a frustrating day and I arrived with no expectation to go out or sightseeing and basically just very blue. However the lady with glass at the reception(it may be Karina I think)warmly welcome me and after knowing my experience, strongly suggest me to go explore the night of museum(what a coincidence) and printed me a trasportation card. It is such warm gesture and I was happy I listened to her suggestion and went out and set my miserable feelings aside.

Its good. It was clean and i had a good sleep. The breakfast should be better. From my POV you can increase the price for the breakfast, but make sure its good. Its how the people start into the day and it has a lasting impression on if this hotel is good or not. It does not have to be much, but putting a bit of quality and passion their could become a UAP among competitors.

However, our breakfast buffet is already very diverse and offers a wide selection for the price of 15 CHF, which is very reasonable for the city of Basel. Easy check in and check out. Nice room. Only minor things to improve would be the room was a bit hot even with thermostat right down and the towels are very small.

Please note that our reception is open 24 hours a day, and we are always happy to provide additional towels upon request. Regarding the heating, our building uses a central system that automatically adjusts according to the outside temperature. Unfortunately, during the winter season, air conditioning is not available. To cool down the room, the heating must be completely switched off so that the temperature can decrease. We hope that you will give us the opportunity to serve you better in the near future. Badic but clean. Friendly staff. Cold buffet was ok with reasonable choice of food & drinks etc. Rooms very very compact! Hit & miss with towels. Arrived to find none in room. Some days got 4, other days they weren’t replaced. Very ad hoc. Room was swelteringly hot & window wouldn’t open (room 520). Asked room maid how to work the air-con to cool down the room. She either misunderstood us or gave incorrect information. We went out for the day thinking we’d left air con on cool settings to cool the room down. Returned to a greenhouse heat! Reported faulty air con system to reception to be informed that air-con only blows out hot air in winter! Housemaid services opened window for us which eventually allowed the room to be at a reasonable temperature. Probably won’t stay budget hotel basis again

The room is clean. Its hard to open your luggage since the room has small space. Shower and bathroom is separate, the bathroom has stains (more like shit stains in the wall) Everyday they will tidy the room. Breakfast is okay
