The hotel is obviously a budget hotel but the first floor where I stayed was ‘ tired’ the stair carpet very worn and there was a smell akin to an old folks home . Needed refurbing. The bed was not comfortable for me too firm and the pillows very cheap and not good quality. I cannot complain about the breakfast - it was superb and in the main the staff were great, very friendly and efficient both on reception and at breakfast . I would only choose to stay again if it has been refurbed .
