Room was clean and comfortable if small. Walk from train station was flat and not far. Would have liked electric kettle and tea bags in the room. Lobby area very limited and not inviting.

Happy with the room itself, quiet, with enough space for a single traveler, and warm water for a shower. However, when you(staff) inform the hotel rules/policy to your guests, don't you think there are various DECENT ways with SMILE instead of frowning, staring at, or saying that you are going to charge to guest's credit card? I simply asked for an adapter, then the way your staff treated me was rude. She regarded me as a potential thief. I cannot forget her face-making and humiliating attitude. Even when I tried to say it, she just cut my words. Does that you call customer service? Your staff read the minds of guests before finishing the sentence? Later, another lady that I asked to recommend a restaurant where I could get a nice meal. She pointed her right-hand finger to her right side, then just go there, there are many restaurants. Wow, what a nice help! It was my first time in Basel, so was it very difficult for your staff to recommend a restaurant? I was really at a loss with your staff's behavior. My journey in Swiss was a very pleasant and happy moment, but the last stay in Basel with you made me disappointed. If your hotel's policy is not to help or serve guests, these two staff are a perfect fit for your policy. The day I checked out, I asked the staff who attended to me, to write a memo that I RETURNED the ADATPER with a date. He said it was the first time to got this kind of request. I explained the situation that I had the previous day. I did not want to be in trouble when I came back to Asia, to settle wrong charging, which might happen. This kind of unpleasant way, can happen to anyone but why me? If you think your customer-oriented service is right, please keep doing that. I will share this experience. I let you know that I have a nice experience so far with Accor, always satisfied but this time in Basel.
