Regarding the towels, our standard policy is to provide one towel per guest, so a double room prepared for two guests should have had two towels available. We apologise if there were fewer than the appropriate number upon your arrival. We are also sorry to hear about the issue with the hot water. We understand how disappointing it must have been to find the shower running cold, and we will ensure this is checked with our maintenance team. When we arrived we found the double room had been prepared for only one guest so there were insufficient towels. Although we ran the shower to try to get hot water, it was stone cold. Breakfast adequate but not great.

Room didn't feel clean and there were someone else's hair in the bathroom upon my arrival. You can hear trains all night, which might be a problem if you are a light sleeper. I wouldn't say there was anything good other than closeness to the train station, which is a plus if you need to travel to work.

Great location for the staion(10 minute walk) or you could get the tram across the road from the hotel, 2 stops to the station. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. The room could do with an update but it was clean, comfortable and a great shower. There was one extra pillow in the room so I asked for another, they weren't keen to give me one but did. There was a good choice of food for the buffet breakfast and they let me fill my water bottle up at their tap. Recommend.

Everything was fine in general. However, there was one extremely rude receptionist who wouldn't let me fill up my small water bottle at the water dispenser. It was ridiculous and ruined my experience at the hotel

Everything was excellent, but in the room you only have Swiss outlets and 2 cell phone chargers. Maybe you could have some others outlets to sell in the hotel or on loan with the room.

We were very satisfied with the way in which Herr Adler helped us to obtain Basel cards in advance of our arrival. However, we were disappointed that we did not receive the warm and informative welcome at reception that we have previously experienced at this hotel. A kettle in the room would be appreciated given that you appear to have discontinued the offer of a drink on aarival.

We only needed an overnight stay before we flew home. Room was pleasant enough and reception lady. We saw a pool table round the corner with cues and balls and so my son started to get the balls out to play and another lady from the reception/bar area came storming around and very rudely told us we were not allowed to play without having bought a drink. We apologised as there weren’t any notices up to say so and put the balls back. Perhaps you should think about putting a notice up to let people know!

A perfect stay until the last night. The late shift manager ( tall chap blue shirt) mixed up my drink order, X1 bottle wine, X1 glass not difficult but he made it so! Don't think he understands English! Otherwise over all enjoyed my stay👍 Trevor G.
