Enjoyed being within easy reach of the city centre in a peaceful environment with comfortable room and friendly helpful staff. Loved having a room facing the side street with the morning sun, the spacious lobby area at the entry to our room where we could hang clothing and pack and unpack. Breakfast was great, including the wide choice of teas, and the bar was handy on our first night.

the staff were very pleasant, the rooms are clean and nice. The two points I deducted from 10 are because on the first night the air conditioning started making really loud strange noise at 5 in the morning, its not a huge problem but still;.

Good experience all in all, good cost-offer ratio. Is however somehow "not so fresh" in style and colour, as one might be accustomed to with other ibis Styles hotels.

Awful hotel, tired, dirty and in a bad area

Dreadful stay in The Ibis styles in Tours. We always use either the Ibis styles or Mecure hotels when we travel through France. This stay was unbelievably disappointing. Our room was tiny, dirty and in dreadful order throughout. The window would not open ( handle was taken off) the aircon did not work and the bed valances were falling apart. The shower was shockingly old and poor. We have never complained but had to on this occasion. This hotel needs a serious update of its rooms and ideally location. The whole experience was poor - except the breakfast which was the normal good quality. The restaurant clearly has the refresh and was nicely decorated and clean. We will be far more careful in the future. I should have looked on trip advisor as this hotel also has numerous complaints about the area (it felt unsafe to be honest) and the hotel rooms. Unfortunately, after using the Accor group for 20 plus years I now know I can’t expect the same standard in all its hotels.

I am nevertheless surprised by your feedback on the state of the hotel because we renovated all our common areas at the beginning of the year, notably the restaurant and the reception on the theme of the Loire and we receive very good comments on these novelties. So I don't understand because more recent than that, there won't be any in Tours.
