1- no lights in the rooms 2- while showering water go outside the bath because the rubber is not long enough to prevent the water dripping outside the bath 3- no restaurant and no restaurants around the corner

When travelling alone I choose to stay in well known branded hotels as you usually know what standard to expect, Mercure is a brand that often delivers a nice quality hotel and experience and you can trust a comfortable stay. Sadly this is not one of them. Very basic, very dated, bizarre layout, uninviting and no proper room service - a list of 4 pizzas is not a room service menu. After a 12 hour day driving and arriving at 9pm, with an early start the next morning, I then had to trek out again to find food. I really wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

A stopover stay on the way to Bretagne. After a long drive we wanted a hotel that would be modern, comfortable, air conditioned and have parking. The hotel delivered on everything except the parking which was limited and full. However we did find parking in a nearby street.

Not quite central. Plenty of diverse bars and restaurants nearby. Staff friendly, professional and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Parking was very useful on site. My husband - an avid trainspotter was very happy overlooking the Tours Trainline/station area. Air conditioning was very efficient given that we were there during a heatwave. We were also given a electric fan.

A lovely hotel with helpful staff. The weather was extremely hot during our visit. The hotel was further from the railway station than I had appreciated, making it an exhausting walk with cases in the heat. Despite the website saying that the aircon was not working we were assured it was. Unfortunately for us it did work, but due to the extreme heat was overloaded and struggled despite being on 24/7 Breakfast was plentiful and varied Overall, would I stay again? Yes, but not in the middle of an extreme weather event

Usually enjoy staying at this hotel but I was unable to have a good night’s sleep this time because of the fan in the room replacing the broken climatisation. Hopefully this will be repaired before our next stay in July.

I booked the hotel for 3 nights. On arrival there is a notice at the reception that the airco is out of order. The stay was horrible. Temperatures outside were at 34 degrees, the room was on the top floor under the roof. An outage can happen, but I should have been informed by email before arrival with an offer to cancel the booking ( I have a All Accor silver membership, I book accor hotels frequently, it happened in the past when for example the swimming pool was closed for works)). Nothing of this. I was at least expecting a gesture of courtesy such as offering the breakfast. I paid for a service that I did not receive. In a supposedly 4 stars hotel.

The location is close to the train station and the room layout is very good, but everything became terrible because the air conditioning in the room and the entire building was broken. For 5 days, I slept without AC even though the temperature outside was very hot, 28°C."

August 2025 Good value for money. The hotel is next to the train station (TGV). It has indoor parking at a price of €12/day. Spacious rooms and good breakfast. A 15-minute walk from the cathedral. And a 20-minute walk from Vieux Tours.
