The Cairns Pullman is in a good location. Reasonably quiet from the noise of street life. Across the road from the casino, if you're into that. Room looked recently renovated, with a comfy bed. Good shower. Stupid fixed bottle liquid soap system with none in the shower, so had to step out each time. Unnecessary cost savings for a five star hotel. Breakfast was OK. Reasonable, with nothing outstanding. Coffee machine worked 50% of the time.

Not bad but small things missing

The room is comfortable and the staff are friendly but the bathroom had no hand soap, so I had to buy some and there was a family next door who's children were constantly screaming at the top of their lungs so sleep was an issue.

Old, Smelly, Musky, Run Down and Poor Customer Service

Room had a musky smell. Carpets in foyer, hallway damaged and beyond end of life. Pol areas closed and under refurb. Challenges checking in regarding payments. Demanding payment when work had already paid. On checkout seeking a $20 payment for mini bar when mini bar not used. Hotel is holding by room credit card deposit three days after leaving the hotel. A very poor experience.

I have stayed at the Pullman Int many times however not for a few years now. This trip was terrible. Thread bare seats, old torn carpet, old taps that leaked, nobody answering phones, so I had to come to reception to order room service. Generally a awful experience that I am embarrassed to recommend to others.

The food must have been cooked in cornstarch - I am allergic to corn and got vomiting and diarrhea for twelve hours. Staff were very good, I did sleep in a little due to the sickness.
