Checking in and checking out is always great and so are the staff. The rooms however are dated and old and 3 star at best. Mountain view rooms in particular. I stay 2-3 times a month after being a regular customer at Shangra La and Crystal Brook in Cairns and initially fell in love with the rooms on the Harbourside with balconies providing a little more privacy etc and the rooms and decor including TV comparable with 5 star. Your decor and floor coverings, furniture is extremely dated and very worn. TV’s in the mountain view rooms are small and dated and in fact the rooms I stay in in remote aboriginal communities further to the north are far more aesthetically pleasing. I am booked in for 2 more stays at Pullman International at this stage but unfortunately, unless I’m put in a slightly better room I will be booking elsewhere in the future.

Check in was great.. Check out dragged on a bit.. Disappointed with hot water temperature, barely any heat in the evening & again in the morning.. Sad you’ve gone cheap with Lor coffee pods.. Bedroom bin had someone’s luggage tags in it.. I believe cash is still legal tender & should continue to be a payment option.. Should not be forced to be stung by fees..Very poor ‘free to air’ TV connection, constantly dropping out.. Very painful to try & watch anything, or even listen to music..

Location was convenient and the overall stay was comfortable. I only have 2 comments: 1. I feel that the hotel should provide free parking for guests instead of charging an additional $22/day fee. There are also very few lots allocated for hotel guests. 2. I stayed in room 816. The toilet was poorly renovated as the dry area floor was tilted in the way where the drainage hole is higher than the rest of the floor (instead of the other way round), and the toilet was perpetually wet.
