Great location, clean room. We enjoyed our stay however, for an ‘upmarket’ hotel, the noise needs to be addressed. Cairns is not often a loud place compared to capital cities so it was surprising to hear literally every single car that drove by and all conversations from the restaurant downstairs. We were also woken up at approximately 3am by other guests who were yelling out to their friends to ‘open up c@*t!’. They then carried on a conversation over the balcony for a few more minutes which led to us being completely awake from there onwards. This was a break for us from the kids yet we left to go home at 7.30am. Can not fault the hotel itself - staff were very professional and welcoming and the room was very clean and comfortable. Maybe the balcony glass doors need double glazing and some rules around guest etiquette?
