The Pullman was well located within walking distance to all the great restaurants and bars, the staff were amazing and very professional and helpful. The rooms are a little outdated but very clean. Overall a great place.

The hotel was located on a quieter side of Cairns city. Very easy to get to all the restaurants and casino is just cross. Staffs are very friendly, but the hotel itself and the facilities are really out of date and probably need a good upgrade soon. House keeping standard was inconsistent. Needs improvement.

Loved everything about our stay. Our room was perfect. The staff were helpful and friendly and the food was outstanding. Massive shout out to Duty Manager Andre and Daniel who went above and beyond for our stay and also reception tour staff Junko (sorry if spelt wrong)

Our stay was very pleasant given the time of year (school holidays). The room was excellent and I have no complaints other than no pool bar or restaurant was open. Limited food and drinks could be ordered from the lobby bar via a phone app with a delivery charge of $6 for each order and the wait time and charge was unacceptable.

Thank you for asking for our feedback in regards to our recent stay at the Pullman Cairns. I apologise for being so frank and direct but the experience was so disappointing. We booked many months ago as business owners ourselves we appreciate mistakes and errors may occur, in saying this. We booked as it was out 18th Wedding anniversary my partners birthday and mine in the similar period of January. The booking process was really good with the staff being helpful and pleasant. Upon arrival we were shown to a room a believe a king superior with sea views was paid for upon arrival. The Airconditioning was not working in this room so they advised we were to be relocated to a queen room (down graded bed) as I am 6ft 4in this was a stretch as I am used to a larger bed, again being understanding and also feeling these thing occur we moved. We were told that we would be upgraded to a better room in 3 days. We were contacted 2 days later and told that we would be moved but to a room at the back of the hotel with no views. I said I was disappointed at this stage and that we were in a small bed and this was an issue. The manager on duty quote said “ you are receiving what you paid for and I am not sure of what your issues are”. I had to argue that I paid for a King Room and was in a Queen room and to be honest his customer service was really a non caring attitude. Working for Trip Advisor as a restaurant and reviewer I also feel it important to mention some serious issues at the hotel, these issues were also discussed between many guests around the pool on several occasions. 1. The Airconditioning in the hotel is extremely poor. The reception Airconditioning creates a very false sense that it is similar throughout the en tire hotel (not true). 2. The hotel lifts are in such a dirty and poor standard with again wall paper falling of the walls and the grooves of the lifts grating with dirt. 3. The carpets were extremely stained and poor standard though out the lift foyers. 4. The hotel room bathroom was mouldy with chipped tiles and a dirty shower curtain 5. The furniture is falling apart with the table top water damaged and swollen. 6. The plaster moulding were all cracked and falling apart 7. The air-conditioning vent had dust coming out of the vents and we had to clean it ourselves to assist the aircon to work a little better. 7.a The hotel entry and packing crates outdid the entrance of the building look like it is in repairs and falling apart. 8. We were promised special attention for our anniversary, this did not occur and we felt nothing had been attempted to make us feel welcome, I personally rang and asked for something to be done to make my partner feel special as it was their birthday and our anniversary. 9. The current standards for COVID 19 Cleaning are inadequate, the lifts were never wiped as in buttons, I know this as a child had stick a sticker in some buttons and they remained the entire stay. 10. Our room was cleaned once in our entire stay, we put the sign out each day and no one came. We had to ring and ask for towels and in the end we were frustrated and asked could we get our sheets cleaned. 11. We went to the pool area this is an extremely sad place, with inadequate seating, no shade areas near pool, people were boring their feet on the deck areas. The pools have rust in them and the paint and plaster is falling off the pool. Their is no water for drinking and the cost charged to get some service was ridiculous. Again being in this industry myself, surely you want to keep customers in your hotel and n to have them leave for food and drink. The signs saying no BYO allowed. What are customer supposed to do?. The fact that is says you must shower, but where are the showers. No signage. Guests were all talking about all the issues we had been experiencing and were just as frustrated. They were going away saying they were going to write bad reviews. 12. The concierge or gust services was not maned at any time, leaving us to look outside the hotel for guidance and tours. The areas in your outdoor area are so dirty and not mopped or cleaned. Again I am not saying this to be arrogant or nasty. The simple fact is that the hotel and is services are so misleading as to the pictures online and promises it makes. We booked for a 2 week period and checked out a week early as we could not take it anymore. We ended up returning home to Adelaide as we were so upset and frustrated. Our anniversary was ruined and our birthdays. The fact that we all are dealing with COVID 19. I our restaurants in Adelaide and work hard, we really were looking forward to a break, it was a nightmare. Again thank you for asking and I hope that you or someone in the Pullman looks at the serious competition and lack of service and standards within your hotel.

A bit tired

Hello we stayed at your Hotel , from the 24th of Dec to the 28th, We enjoyed the Xmas Lunch. The 2 Rooms although they were Old and tired they were Okay , the beds were not comfortable and could do with an upgrade. I think that the main attraction you have and place which you could make more money is the Pool Area. The Pool was not cleaned the whole time we were there , i know this because the same debris was in the pool the whole time. the pool was over chlorinated and i really question who is looking after it , we spent alot of time there and never saw anyone do water tests. The Staff would bring drinks out to people and then walk straight past tables of used plates and drinks and go back inside. there was not enough lounges, seating or umbrellas. This place should be making you money hand over fist . Charging people 6 dollars to bring a drink out is over the top as well. and is going to stop people ordering.

I wasn’t happy with the room service. I have travelled a lot and this was the first time I have come across room service charging you $6.00 just to bring an empty bowel up to your room. For this to be classified as a luxury hotel this shouldn’t be the case, very disappointing I wouldn’t stay here again. The restaurant cocos at the pullmans was probably the only good thing about it that I can highly rate.

Second visit but rooms are tired, the hotel was under staffed and the service was slow and average. House keeping forgot towels twice. Insufficient shaded areas at the pool and pool side service was non existent. If you could get it there was a service charge. Great location but as an Accor member really disappointed.

The rudeness of the staff was disappointing right from check in. Our room was never made up. House keeping came around after 1730 on two days and offered clean towels. On checkout we were charged for meals that occurred before we even checked in. The reception staff tried to argue that the breakfast meals had to be ours. Given we were on a plane at the time, it was not possible. Will not stay again.
