Lovely old world charm in their surroundings. Drawback is musty smell when you get out of the lifts. Excellent shower and bath. Enjoyable spa experience.

We’ve stayed here every year for a while now. Currently under renovation and eerily quiet due to decreased numbers. Beautiful as always. Excited to see the buffets in full swing and bustling with tourists. Recommend, I’m told all will be happening during holidays…excellent staff and high teas a must

Very tired 5 star hotel We booked in on a Friday 3rd at 10:00 as we needed to rest, but all day long somewhere above us was a concrete drill.

This hotel has single handily ruined the Pullman Hotels good name. We were alerted to the fact that it was having renovations, but was not aware of reduction and cessation of many of its services, on lunch or dinner. Basic nibble food was available after 4 pm in the bar, not informed when we checked in. Breakfast was a hit and miss affair depending on the staff of the day, though the food was generaly good. Some days service was so slow we witnessed one guest after being served, pick up his plate and leave the room, while many of the small number of guests complained about the wait. Musac, unplesently loud and repetitve.Dinner was available one night, Saturday, but was spoiled by untrained staff with llimited knowledge of service. My plate was snatched away (attempted) before I had finished. Two days of continual jackhammering. Several return guests said they would never come back. Shout out to Precilla on reception who was most helpful.

Decided to stay in the city for a treat. We have previously loved this hotel. The location was very good for what we planned to do and we enjoyed the close proximity to much of the city highlights. The dinner we had for room service was excellent. The steak was so tender and lobster superb, even the veggies were lovely. Unfortunately the breakfast was terrible (service and food). Previous stay we didn't have to pay for parking and this time we did. We didn't get a room upgrade like we did last time even though the room was nice it was a lot more tired than the previous tired room. We don't mind the older style it was things like a big stain on carpet right as you walk in, the lever to change tap to shower fell out, the top of toilet was loose, the sink had some blockage because it wouldn't drain properly. I used a free night (but paid extra for a better room) which is fine but I would have been bitterlly dissappointed if I had of spent $286 on that room for the overall experience that we had. The reception staff were not a patch on staff at our last visit.

We were so impressed when we walked into the lobby, then met by Andre a fellow Tasmanian, who was so helpful and friendly. Our room was spotlessly clean and the views were spectacular, comfy beds with nice linens. The resort is so centrally located, close to the esplanade, and the central shopping district but a bit quieter, which was great for us. The cleaning staff did a wonderful job and were so friendly and accommodating. We had room service one night and it was delicious Although there was construction in the resort, it didn’t bother us too much given that we were out most days and we were or warned that it was happening We would highly recommend the Pullman International for anyone who are looking for a relaxing and friendly holiday Thank you all

We have stayed before and loved it, but this time was disappointing. The breakfast was below your standard and far too expensive for what was offered. We understood the construction going on but on Monday they started at 7am what sounded like chipping off tiles. The room was neat and clean.

overnight stay as i was participating in the local Cairns parade. our room was ready early which was good. l understand the hotel is being renovated but the room seemed quite bare,.. no bedside lamps, room service app was not working for food. last time i was there we had bathrobes in our room and there was a cockroach in the bathroom. waiting for coffee at breakfast was super slow, and other people were complaining about it as well. There simply were not enough staff on at. Will be interested to see what the renovations will bring.
