We stay here each time we come to Lyon. Such a short walk from the Part Dieu trains. Local transport is right there too. Trams and buses. Easy to find drinks, food, groceries. Front staff and cleaning folks are friendly. Prices are good. But only one small towell and bed was crushed in some on this trip.

Ibis Budget is, well, budget. One towel is included; you have to ask for a hair dryer. Despite the double windows there is still noise from the train station below. My biggest complaint is that there was a layer of plastic between the sheets and the mattress (don't ask why...) which caused me to wake up sweating. I also had a hard time getting the AC to actually blow cold air. That said, the location is PERFECT between the train station and the REX station. Don't miss the restaurant in the Mercure hotel next door, I had an amazing meal and great glass of wine.
