We stayed at Hôtel Mercure Lyon Centre Part-Dieu and were disappointed, especially given the price. At around €300 per night, the hotel felt very expensive for what was ultimately a basic room and experience. Several things in the room did not work, including the hair dryer and a floor lamp, which should not happen at this price point. There was also no effective air conditioning, and we were told to open the window—which wasn’t a real solution since our room faced the train station and was quite noisy. The overall experience felt more functional than comfortable. Parking was also difficult to find and navigate, and communication with staff was somewhat challenging at times. For context, we stayed at Pullman Lyon Part-Dieu right across the street for a similar price and had a significantly better experience. Overall, this hotel felt overpriced for the level of quality and comfort provided.
