We stayed here for an overnight stay for for christmas market in Bordeaux. Out of all the Ibis that we stayed at even though we were on the main road , this one is the quietist, no banging doors people going in the room, cant hear people walk down the corridor. The bed is very comfy, and we are going to look for the pillows they use. Very comfy. Also very easy as a restaurant is attached to the hotel too, very enjoyable meal in there as well.

Distance from the City is no great problem with the tram so close by. Room 119 needs attention in the bathroom (the toilet flush not being good & the bathroom door not closing) A welcome tray provided would be nice & a kettle needs to be provided. No available food in the restaurant at weekends is a problem & snack alternatives should be available. We noticed the room rate changed according to the day of the week. Strange bedside lights controlled from one side only, All staff were friendly & accommodating.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room and the hotel overall was very clean and housekeeping and good. However, the hotel appeared dated and for a Styles brand I felt it lacked character. The breakfast offering wasn’t quite how I remember Styles breakfasts. Two mornings out of the three we stayed, there was only one coffee machine working. The tap on the orange juice machine continually fell off. Our room (504) had an mis-mash of colour designs in the bathroom. Towels were very thin. The bed was comfortable but awful pillows that gave little support. The room smelt of cigarette smoke when we first arrived. There are plenty of other hotels in the city and I wouldn’t choose to stay at this hotel again.

We’ve regularly used Accor hotels during travels and have enjoyed the Styles brand in other cities. For our three night stay this one fell way short of the mark. The location is out of the city centre, a 15 minute walk away. It’s on a busy road, with trams running outside and the Police National building practically next door. So despite the double glazing expect road noise. Car parking is a good 10 minute walk away, unless you can get a space on the public road behind the hotel (you still pay). Arrived to find the steps to the front door taped off so had to walk round to use the disabled ramp. The rooms we had were on the 5th floor and were dated, lacked any character and one of the rooms (504) was tatty and smelt of cigarettes when we arrived. The aircon just about coped with the temperatures of 20 degrees but I’d hate to put it to the test in any hotter weather. Breakfast was mediocre; small pastries, only one coffee machine working, the fresh orange juice machine had a tap that kept falling off making it virtually impossible to operate. It wasn’t much of an offering. The one positive comment is that all the staff we came into contact with were welcoming, helpful and very pleasant. Otherwise, there isn’t anything that would entice me to want to stay at this hotel again.
