I enjoyed my stay at this convenient hotel. It is getting a little dated but is still okay and reasonable for the price, although will need some work very soon to maintain the Novotel brand standard. The hotel is easy walking distance to the shopping mall at Meriadeck and only a little further on foot to the main city centre shopping district and historic attractions. The hotel restaurant is good, although it would be great help if the menu was printed with even a little English language guidance - the staff there were helpful with assisting me to find what I liked, except one who said it was in French only and made no effort to offer guidance. Rooms are comfortable and cleaned well every day. I have two comments of constructive feedback for management. Firstly, the mugs provided in the rooms for hot drinks are unable to be used as they do not have handles. Plus, mine had chips in them and need to be thrown out. I had to ask to borrow a mug with handle from the restaurant. What is the point of a mug that can't be used? Secondly, as an Accor Diamond loyalty member it is the usual custom to receive an appropriate welcome amenity at each hotel. Nothing was provided here to recognise this status. This needs some attention in planning at management level. Overall, I am happy with the stay but hope you can consider my suggestions.

All good except from hopeless mattress an useless pillow . Very friendly staff.

We have NOT stayed at the hotel; cancelled our reservation. Why? outside temperature was 13 degrees, room was cold; reception told us yet it is not time to put heat on and when we have asked for a heater into the room answer was : do NOT have such device.

Hello Mrs and Mr A., We understand your disappointment with the temperature of the room. As my colleagues were able to tell you, at this time of year the heating is not yet on for environmental reasons. Our hotel is in the process of being awarded the ‘Clef Verte’ label and it is recommended that the heating be set to 19 degrees. During the autumn in Bordeaux, temperatures still rise to 23 degrees. We apologise for the fact that your stay at our hotel could not take place. We hope to be able to regain your confidence in one of our Novotel establishments. Sincerely Reception. Great location. Tram stop outside which travels directly to airport (40 minutes) and into city centre (without changing lines) if you don't want to walk. Very easy to walk into city centre too. Nice lobby with friendly team. Rooms very clean. 9/10 as rooms were quite small for 2 adults and 2 kids
