The guy on duty at night in the front desk was not helpful during check in. Air conditioner was not functioning and water temperature keeps on changing either too hot or too cold.

Positives: good sized room, separate toilet and bathroom, nice friendly staff, reasonable mattress. Negatives: created for design rather than customer comfort or convenience. 1. Bedside lighting consisted of boxes in the headboard - lit up the bedside table but not my book. No other lighting in the left hand corner. 2. Free standing black pole was a lighting feature - lit up the curtains. 3. No usb charging points or plugs to the left of the bed. Only above the fridge and in the right corner. Inconveneint. 4. Coffee mugs had no handles so had to wrap with toilet tissues to prevent hand burn. 5. Only one bath towel, hand towel and 3 pillows in the room when we arrived. Received more next morning - dealt with quickly. 6. The water did not run quickly out of the bath so having a shower meant standing in a couple of inches of water. Not pleasant. 7. The pillows were smaller than I'm used to and not very comfortable. 8. Would have hoped for a coffee pod machine in a 4* hotel rather than 2 cheap sachets. To sum up - we stayed at the Ibis Budget in Marseille Airport twice last year and felt that their price/quality offer was far better.
