Helpful reception, staff comfortable suite and location really good to walk or tram to the centre of this beautiful city less than 750 meters away!

The hotel is well located to explore Bordeaux. Tram links in the city are excellent. The Mériadeck stop was just a short walk from the hotel ( Line F direct from the airport) We appreciated an upgrade to our room prior to our visit.( Thank you Lily )We were made to feel very welcome on our arrival ( a very professional young man in training from Paris ) Staff we met were very friendly, smiling , extremely helpful and accommodating. Our room was very clean. A comfortable, quiet room which enabled us to enjoy a good nights sleep. Breakfast did not disappoint - the scramble egg was delicious !!!

Room positives: Quiet dark room with comfy bed was excellent for sleeping. Room negatives: The bath was slow to fill up. The WiFi code and breakfast time and location could have been in the room. Air-conditioning wasn't easy to set. I would have liked it colder or stronger but couldn't understand what to do with it. I pressed a few buttons and it seemed to remain on the same setting. -‐--- Breakfast positives: Clean area with friendly staff. Spacious and lots of seats and tables. Large variety of food. Excellent chocolatine and crossants. They didn't mind if you turned up after 10am, which is when it's supposed to close. Breakfast negatives: Shame the crepes were so cold. Coffee wasn't good. ------ Bar positives: Nice decor and staff speak excellent English. Bar negatives: Only red wine is bordeaux, but that seems to be the only type of wine in most bars in the area. Slow service. Staff often dissappear into the kitchen for lengths of time. I was often trying to get their attention for 10 to 15 minutes. Wasn't clear how to order food, so I didn't bother. There was only a drinks menu on the bar. No chat from the staff. They wanted to move away as soon as they served a person. It was like they hid to have a break. ------

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and overall had a pleasant experience. The highlights were definitely the friendliness of the staff, the great location and the cleanliness of the hotel. I also really appreciated the thoughtful touch of finding a postcard in the room with the name of the person who had cleaned it. It’s those small details that make guests feel welcomed and truly make a difference. That said, there are a few areas that could be improved. The carpet in the room felt quite outdated and had a few visible stains. I also noticed that the cabinet housing the safe and minibar was damaged, with the laminate chipped and the underlying material exposed, which gave the room a somewhat worn appearance. In addition, the minibar/fridge was not working properly and didn’t keep drinks or food cool. Considering how hot it was during my stay, this was a bit disappointing. Despite these points, I enjoyed my stay and would still recommend the hotel for its excellent staff and convenient location.
