The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was quite small but comfortable and the beds and pillows were lovely.

Service was bad. There was no priority service or any service for that matter even for platinum Accor members. This is one of the worst service I have received. There was a problem with the showers. The water is super hot and were not fixed despite the reception staff claiming they would fix it. After 3 days, we still have to bear with this extremely hot shower that can’t be turned down. It’s madness.

This is clearly not the level of comfort we aim to provide, and it is especially disappointing to learn that the problem was not resolved during your stay despite being reported to our team. We also regret that you felt our service did not meet your expectations, especially as a Platinum member of ALL. While status recognition is important to us, every guest should receive attentive and responsive service throughout their stay. Please accept our apologies for these shortcomings. The staff was amazing. Friendly, attentive, always smiling. Very good! Booking experience and the room itself was average.

We are delighted to read that all of our staff contributed positively to your stay. Your recognition means a lot to us and will be shared with the entire team. We are, however, sorry to learn that several aspects of your experience did not fully meet your expectations. We understand your disappointment regarding the booking conditions and the flexibility of the offer provided. The terms of each reservation depend on the rate selected and the availability of our facilities at the time of booking, but we appreciate your comments and will take them into consideration. Regarding your arrival, our guaranteed check-in time is from 3:00 PM, so unfortunately we cannot always ensure that rooms are available earlier. Nevertheless, we regret any inconvenience this may have caused. We also note your remarks concerning the room layout, storage space and bathroom design. While these elements are part of the Mama Shelter concept, we understand that they may not suit every guest's preferences. Thank you again for your valuable feedback. Very nice stay in central Bordeaux - 5 nights to discover the hotel and the city. Parking was a definite plus, and very efficient/easy to use. The 'welcome drink' was quite surprising - I've never had it reduced to a single cardboard container of water (which essentially all Accor hotels provide anyway). This left a rather sour note. There is no functioning air conditioning despite the site's claims. There is mechanical ventilation but this is inadequate as the weather warms up. We had the staff come to the room to verify but evidently the air conditioning (left hand green light) is not operational - this claim of air conditioning should be removed from the site to avoid further disappointment. The rooftop was lovely for lunch - very busy, and an enjoyable experience. Breakfast was fine - the options are all there, just the ability to keep them topped up / warm azs needed could be improved. Staff overall were friendly and helpful. I'd love to stay here again - but without airco it is unlikely to be in the Summer months. I would prefer to be told there is no welcome drink, rather than to be gaslighted that it is the carton of water. So a mixed bag, but overall satisfied. Oh and the two lifts - bizarre system that they are not connected - everyone calls both and it causes a lot of confusion!

Our first stay at a Mama Shelter felt like stepping into one of those effortlessly chic Beverly Hills hideaways the kind where the vibe is fun, the energy is high, and the staff treats you like you’ve just rolled up in a blacked‑out SUV with a stylist in tow. From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel genuinely welcomed, and the hotel’s playful, one‑of‑a‑kind personality was such a refreshing break from the cookie‑cutter big‑chain scene. We even joined the DisLoyalty program during our stay. Yes, we were a little surprised there was a fee, but the staff explained the perks with such confidence that we felt like we were being let in on a VIP secret. If it means savings and special treatment on future stays, then sign us up as we continue our adventures visiting more of europe. A fabulous stay from start to finish and absolutely the kind of place we’d return to with pleasure.
