This Ibis stay was a bit below my expectations compared to other hotels from the Ibis line. I actually had better experiences in Ibis Budget hotels in France. Even though we were in a recently renovated room, things were really not good: Very noisy room, paper walls that would move when doors were closed in the room next door; the window was not good in isolating the noise from the very busy street; our room was at the 11th floor and only 2 of the 3 elevators were getting to this floor; the shower was pretty bad, with the water temperature fluctuating constantly from colder to really hot water and the design of this shower makes it impossible to have the floor of the bathroom from getting completely wet after taking a shower. In the room there was offered or informed that this superior room would have a Chromecast which was not there, not even after telling the reception about it. The positive aspects here are the location, very close to the center and in front of the tram to get to the airport or the train station; the staff was kind and friendly; the beds were comfortable. All in all, I don't think I'll stay in this hotel again.

As usual with our stays here, the staff are helpful, attentive and kind. The rooms are clean, comfortable and calm. A kettle would have been good but next time I'll just bring a travel one.

We’d booked a superior room, which was clean, but other than the kettle I don’t know what else made it superior! It was clean and there was no noise from the corridor, thanks to a double door in the room. Breakfast was incredibly busy, and the offering was okay. What really stands out about this place though are the staff. All were incredibly helpful and friendly and obviously proud to work at the hotel. And, the hotel is ideally placed near the tram from the airport and a short walk to the city centre and the Stade Jean Chabas
