Well located but very tired and rickety rooms

I paid q very expensive price for an "Executive Suite" but the room was nowhere near as nice as expected, and definitely nowhere near value for the money. The bathroom floor felt like it was about to give and collapse, there were limited and very thin towels, the room felt very dirty (stains on the floor, stains on the couch, rickety furnishings ...). It felt more like the quality one would receive at a Premier Inn or Ibis. This was not the Novotel experience I expected, and I'm quite disappointed. The front desk staff was extremely kind and courteous, so I elected not to complain (I was also in a hurry and couldn't be bothered), but unfortunately it would take a desperate situation for me to ever stay at this Novotel again.
