Great Location. Two bus stops right in front of the hotel. Public transport is free. Some of the best views of the old town. Great Breakfast. The SOFITEL F&B Manager put together a great Breakfast open buffet.Great choice,quality and fresh. The Sofitel Grand Ducal Maitre de Hotel put together a great team, thank you to Ms.Carol from Peru, the Moldovan 4x4 , and all the others. Housekeeping nearly perfect. Front Desk perfect. The Concierge function can be improved upon if they could only provide competitively priced taxi options to guests. Some junior Concierges indicated that they would like to be further appreciated in return for sharing information or assisting with communication in French. The seperatly located toilet could use a thrash can. Carrying your dirty thrash between rooms is a bit inconvenient. Nearly perfect. Will definitely return.

Great staff, very well run, excellent breakfast, big room. Bright colored lights in shower stayed on all night and lit up bedroom. There should be a light switch to turn them on. It is more of a problem than you might think: "Light exposure at night is like resetting your body’s natural clock, causing wakefulness at the wrong time of day, and disrupting your sleep. That’s because our brain starts to produce melatonin, a natural sleep-regulating hormone, as it gets dark. Turning on bright lights and staring at blue-light emitting screens disrupts this process." https://www.thensf.org/good-light-bad-light-and-better-sleep/#:~:text=Limit%20Light%20Exposure%20at%20Night&text=That's%20because%20our%20brain%20starts,could%20be%20the%20likely%20culprit. We did find it disturbing enough to try and cover the mood lights with a towel and some cardboard. The lights are so bright, however, that the covering materials did not make a big difference.

Brief visit to Luxembourg. Friendly and helpful staff. Concierge helped with restaurant recommendations and sightseeing routes. Reception very helpful with storing luggage and we returned to the hotel after a rainy day and changed into dry clothes in the restrooms before heading to the bar on the 8th floor for a much needed cup of tea to warm up after being out in the cold weather.
