Staffs are nice with very good service mind. I paid for the higher room rate prior to COVID, she tries to find the data and credit the amount gap back to my credit card, fantastic!

We stayed for 2 nights and were only provided with 1 bottle of water. Please look into this matter especially when Luxembourg water is undrinkable.

Receptionist was very friendly during check in and kindly gave us access to the rooms few hours earlier. Provided additional free car parking information which was helpful. Air con was not working during the night, I called up reception to request for an additional fan however they were unable to provide one.

Very hot rooms, seedy area but very short walk to everything you'd want to see

The room was very hot, and took a while to cool down (mid-April). Room is also very small, which we didn't mind but might be an issue for someone with a large amount of luggage. The area at times felt very unsafe, and we started avoiding walking in the direction away from the train station, even to access places right around the corner from the hotel. Walking towards the train station feels much less uncomfortable, and it was worth the extra walk to go up the Rue Joseph Junck and then down Rue de Strasbourg to access eateries such as Namaste (which is well worth the visit!). I would not feel comfortable walking around this area late at night, especially further down from the hotel. That being said, walking into Luxembourg city center was super fast, and there are also buses and trams very close to the hotel.

Worth the money

The interior of the hotel, especially the room, clearly shows its age. The room was very small and not properly cleaned. The breakfast did not offer much choice.

Very handy location for transport links. Area has improved since last visit with some nice restaurants nearby. The rooms were fine and the breakfast adequate.

Friendly staff, but that's it

The first impressions are of a nice new gleaming hotel in the seedy area around Luxembourg main station, but once you see your room you realise that's not the case. The miniature rooms are worn, do not feel particularly clean and are in need of modernisation and renovation. The bathroom is almost impossible to squeeze into (and I do not have a large build!)... The very basic and mediocre breakfast was just about sufficient. The one positive thing about the hotel is the staff, who are all very friendly and helpful. But for an overall better experience, check out the Ibis budget at the airport (unfortunately it was fully booked when I was there).

we were there last week end march 26-27, we enjoyed the stay, though the room is a bit small, but hey... we only need a nice bed to sleep on, and small bathroom too, but that dont bother us at all. clean bedroom, clean bathroom, and a simple but delicious breakfast, lovely workers.. of course i will recomend this hotel, everything is nearby.. shops, train station, place to visit...and guest what! i was surprise that Luxemburg has a free transportation, can u imagine that?

Brilliant stay

Stayed for 4 nights initially, then due to issue with flight rebooked for another night. Good size rooms, cleaned every day. Well situated in busy location but never heard this from the room. Staff courteous and friendly. Good stay.

Breakfast during Covid is a complete disaster

TripAdvisor rating 1.0/5

liespi Business - TripAdvisor review

Because of Covid there was no normal breakfast buffet. Instead of that you have to fill in a form to select the breakfast items you prefer. But the breakfast items (quality and quantity ) you could select was completely not conform the IBIS standard. Ham, salami, eggs where for exemple not available. You could for exemple get only 3 pre-pack mini-viennoiserie (mini-croissant, mini-pain au chocolat, mini-pain au raisin). An additional mini-croissant was refused by staff. Staff apologizes for this horrible IBIS-Covid-breakfast and told me that this Covid-breakfast was an idea of the hotel manager. Staff told me also that the Luxembourg-law allows a normal breakfast buffet but that the hotel manager has maintained his own ideas on breakfast during Covid. This IBIS-Covid-breakfast was in any kind not worth 10 Euros. Tip: The hotel is located 100 meter from Luxembourg central station, where you can get a much better breakfast for the same price at the different food-shops in the station.

Regarding breakfast, I understand your point of view, however the setting up of the breakfast buffet is at the discretion of the hotelier. Some hotels have the staff and the space to apply the appropriate sanitary measures, but in our case, I have felt that it would not be possible to guarantee the health of all by leaving free access to food and equipment that cannot be adequately protected and/or disinfected. Regarding, for example, the plates filmed and made available on certain buffets, we do not have the place to juxtapose them while maintaining the necessary cold chain. Moreover, considering that everything that customers are brought to touch must be disinfected (tongs , buttons for the coffee machine, carafe, etc.), a member of staff should then be dedicated to this watch, which, given our small team, is unfortunately impossible. It is obviously everyone's responsibility to respect barrier gestures as well as hand disinfection, but having seen some of our customers "at work", we know that monitoring and correcting the behavior of our guests in front of a buffet is not very well accepted. For our breakfast “on a tray”, we offer almost all the products corresponding to the buffet of our ibis Styles brand standards (which I specify are quitte différent front Red ibis standards) and the bakery base for each tray includes a half-baguette as well as 3 mini-pastries. Unlike most hotels, we do not cook the bakery but we are delivered every morning. If you had ask for more mini viennoiseries when filling your form, we could have adjusted our order but by the time of the breakfast, giving you an extra croissant could have deprived another guest. We always try to be flexible but we need to deal with structural constraints. In the opinion of our customers in recent months, our tray is hearty and varied as it is also up to everyone to compose his breakfast as he wishes with a whole range of products listed on a sheet to be filled upon check-in, products which are all individually packaged. For us, serving our breakfast on the tray simply represents an adjustment which allows us to respect the sanitary measures as well as possible given our small structure while offering a very complete offer. The 10 € (instead of 12 €) have been accurately estimated and we also take the trouble to send each booker the email you should have received with all the measures put in place within the hotel. Thus each customer is free to maintain or not their reservation with full knowledge of the provided service. To conclude, I will only say that serving our breakfast on a tray requires more efforts and attention from the hotel team than setting up a buffet. You could then find some hotel members who are desperately waiting for the breakfast buffet to be back... which will probably occur in September since growing occupancy will no longer leave us the opportunity to serve « on a tray ».

tiny room

This was not even up to budget standard -the room was very small with small double bed and tiny bathroom.Bathroom door did not close properly. Lot of noise from the street-dodgy area.Fighting in the street late at night. Very warm in the room even with heating off.

Close to train

L W Solo travel - TripAdvisor review

Very close to train station, supermarket and restaurants. More like hostel accomodation than hotel-tiny bathrooms. Room very hot (even with 4.c outside) but thankfully could open the window. Breakfast basic. Service a little slack! My room was very quiet.

More or less OK

TripAdvisor rating 3.0/5

Maria G Business - TripAdvisor review

The hotel is...more or less OK: very small but clean room. Cleaning every day. Bathroom is so small, that you need to open the bathroom door to dry yourself with a towel :) Awful smell from the sewage system (canalization). Breakfast is rather poor in selection, but your can survive: granola, muesli, milk, yogurt, fruits, salami and ham, cheese. Different kind of croissants...
