The hotel is basic but clean, with very friendly staff. Rooms are small but comfortable, so good value for money. A 3-minute walk from the Central train station and tram stop. Sadly, the hotel is located next to strip clubs, so there are some questionable people hanging around constantly. Lots of alcoholics/ drug users/ homeless people in the area outside the hotel too. Could be intimidating for lone travellers.

Not the most aesthetically pleasing if location, but the room was nice and spacious and clean and the young man on the front desk was super friendly, polite and helpful.

The room were so small, I couldn't get my roll along bag past the bed. It was clean though.

I was very satisfied with everything. Two minutes from le Gare, 20 mins by tram from my conference area at the ECCL and all the central restaurants.. The standout for me was the staff. Every person I met was so kind, particularly the older gentlemen who was at the desk each evening and helped me with check-in. I forgot something in my hotel room when I left and was able to collect it 12 hours later, all nicely wrapped up and waiting for me. Thank you!

Was a little concerned having read reviews, but the neighbourhood is absolutely fine - people were friendly, and it is not nearly as bad as other reviewers had made out. Shops and eateries nearby, and the staff at the hotel are excellent - especially the staff member sorting the breakfast (very efficient and friendly and nothing was too much trouble). Our cleaner on the 5th floor was also excellent. Rooms are tight, but if you want to bring your cat to swing around, book a suite elsewhere…we are two tall people, and I am not the slimmest, and we coped - don’t listen to the whingers - this is a great value hotel.

Great hotel close to the train station. Downside of our room were the following, quite a bit of mould on the ceiling and tiles in the bathroom. Bathroom needs a fan installed to better deal with the steam front he shower. Our air conditioner in the room was not working well. Would wake up sweaty in the night and the air conditioner was on. The door to our room needed a good hard push to close it or it could be pushed open from the outside. We rented two room, one for my husband and I and another for our teenagers. Our teenagers room air conditioner worked great. You could tell the hotel had just dealt with the mould in their bathroom as there was new plaster on the ceiling and the painters tape was still on the wall.
