well located and friendly helpful staff

3 day city break in a family room with wife and 2 children. Room was a good size, beds were comfy, able to get into room even though we arrived very early and was only looking to drop bags off. hotel is well located for exploring either on foot or by bus and there is a bus from the airport which drops you just the other side of the building.

Room bathroom smelled like cigarette smoke

We stayed in an executive room. The toilet had its own room with a door that closed. I immediately smelled a hint of cigarette smoke when I used the toilet but my husband didn’t. I notified the front desk and she was very apologetic and assured me it was a smoke free hotel and she would sent up housekeeping. We left for the day and the door to that bathroom was closed when we returned. When I used the toilet after the door had been closed all day it very strongly smelled like cigarette smoke. I think someone in another room was smoking and I believe it was coming through the vents, this wasn’t a housekeeping issue. As a non smoker, I am very sensitive to the smell. I called the front desk and they asked if we wanted to change rooms. At that point, it was late and we were leaving the next day so I said no. Every time I needed to use the toilet I had to cover my nose because of the smell. This was not an inexpensive hotel and I was reassured it was non smoking. I should not have had to worry about this at this hotel.

We stayed at the hotel Friday to Sunday but our flight home was cancelled so we needed to extend our stay an extra night. The staff were helpful and accommodating. The hotel was clean and well located. The only negative was the sofa bed in the room my son was sleeping on was so creaky when he moved it kept me awake. I mentioned it but not until the end of my stay. The staff reacted immediately and also offered us a drink. I wish I had reported it earlier. Thank you
