The hotel is in an excellent location with easy access from the airport (by public transport too!) and about 10 minutes walk to the center of the old city. There is a good selection for breakfast and the restaurant also serves very nice meals for dinner or lunch. The room was comfortable and quiet - no outside noise. What really made my stay feel special was the welcome by the staff - especially Joao who works in the restaurant. He greets every guest with a big smile and is attentive without being intrusive and made me feel that I was specially invited to be there.

The hotel is generally very good, with friendly staff and a great location not too far from the city centre. The presence of the car park beneath the hotel was very handy as we arrived in the city by car. Our only complaint relates to the hotel bar. We arrived back at the hotel at just before 2300 for a few drinks after a meal out. Although we were told that the bar closed at midnight, the staff seemed reluctant to serve us drinks, and got our order wrong once we had the drinks. The presence of someone vacuum cleaning the bar whilst customers are present was also quite annoying.
