Everything was really good. Friendly staff, great food. The only thing that I was not really happy about was the air conditioning in the room. It was not working properly. Other than that I am highly satisfied.

Okay rooms, but mine was smelly. Drainage odour from the bathroom. Some hairs in the shower from a previous occupant. I had a street side (corner)room. Keeping the window open wasn’t really an option due to the street noise. (So get a room in the back) Wifi signal wasn’t top, but breakfast was good. Nice location on the otherhand.

All was nice except on the day I left. I kindly asked Arnaud at the reception to issue me one single invoice for my stay where breakfast is also included. I also mentioned this request before I arrived at your hotel, in a written message on Booking. Arnaud issued two invoices. I tried to explain to him that I need just one invoice for the reimbursement. He raised his voice at me and dismiss me with his hand like you send away dogs. This is sexism and rasism as well. I was the most polite until the end, despite his utterly shameful behavior. Are you paying staff to treat guests like dogs? He kept raising his voice at me and refused to issue me the invoice as it was requested in the written message and face to face. He complied only after I stated I will call the police. He refused to call the managed or anybody else. Kept dismissing me with his hand, while his face was full of disgust. As a university professor who visited Luxembourg for an academic conference, I was absolutely shocked by his behaviour. I told every friend of mine about this unbelievable event. All the other members of the staff were absolutely amazing. Please, educate Arnaud at the reception how to treat customers. Please educate him to keep his rasism and sexism as home, I do not allow your staff to raise his voice at him and shoo me away like you do with dogs.

Dear Prof. C., Thank you for choosing to stay with us at Ibis while you were attending a conference at the University. We are pleased to learn that you had overall a nice stay with us. Allow us please to apologize for the error made with your invoice. You had indeed asked us prior to your arrival to issue one single invoice where the costs for the accommodation as well as the breakfast are stated. Unfortunately, a misunderstanding led to the edition of two separate invoices. We could obviously have avoided this situation and therefore we would like to apologize. Nevertheless, as our colleague Arnaud explained you, once a bill is closed, our system does not allow us to make any modification. In order to reedit an invoice, we need to get in touch with our helpdesk, which cannot be accomplished so quickly. Arnaud has of course mad the necessary arrangements to issue the invoice as requested. You will find the amended invoice attached in a separate email. Furthermore, please be aware that sexism and racism are very serious allegations which we do not take lightly. We can assure you that all our guests are treated the same way with no regards to their gender, origin, sexuality or confession. Our team itself is built including members from various nationalities, with various confessions and sexual orientation and even respect parity between male and female employees, which is unfortunately still far from being the case everywhere. Over and above that, rest assured that one of our standards is to consider all our estimated in the politest manner and with all the respect they deserve. We sincerely regret you did not feel that during this incident and hope these words have helped clarify the situation. The hotel was easy to find. Reception spoke English which made our live so much easier, we were given directions and instructions for parking as they use the shopping centre opposite. The room was nice and super clean. Shower was amazing. Price for the 2 rooms was outstanding. There was a discount voucher for the restaurant next door where we ate and the food was superb. All in all a great stay, wish were could have stayed longer. Thank you.
