Location even on busy motorway easy , used handicap space as passenger has mobility issues , later blocked by a coach !! , check in seamless , room clean and well presented , bathroom a pod but accessible no problem , good breakfast selection , met our usual ibis standard and more

It's fantastic to hear that you found our service excellent and our staff friendly. We strive to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all our guests. We're also pleased that you appreciated the cleanliness and presentation of your room, as our housekeeping team works diligently to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel. However, we regret the inconvenience you encountered with the parking situation. While we offer free public parking lots near the hotel, we understand that during busy periods, finding a space can be challenging. We're sorry that a coach blocked the space you initially used. Nonetheless, we're thrilled that you enjoyed our breakfast selection. Our American Breakfast Buffet offers a wide variety of options to cater to different tastes and dietary requirements. Finally, we're glad that our location, despite being close to the motorway, proved convenient for your stay. Our proximity to both Luxembourg City center (8 km) and Luxembourg International Airport (10 km) makes us an ideal choice for various types of travellers. Bad Wifi Signal in the room

Sunday disaster

My husband has two major health conditions and is registered disabled. We arrived after a very long drive to find the disabled parking barricaded. It was 'reserved' for two coach-loads of visitors arriving imminently. Then we saw that the restaurant was exceptionally closed in order to provide meals for said coach-loads of visitors. It was early evening on a Sunday, and we were informed that everything else was closed, as is normal on a Sunday in Luxembourg. I pointed out that we had purposely chosen a hotel with a restaurant for that very reason, but this was met with a shrug. Not the hotel's problem. We were checked in by a most unfriendly duty manager, who struggled to find my booking, even though I had already checked in online. The situation caused unnecessary distress and immense disappointment. Our room was located directly above Reception, where people congregated outside to smoke and make noise, which caused us further disturbance, and we could also smell cigarette smoke coming from a nearby (non-smoking) guest room. As we prepared to depart the following morning, we had to contend with large groups of people and luggage in the hotel's public spaces, as the visitors queued to use the lifts and check out, etc. Given the scale of the block booking, and lack of expected facilities for other guests, I strongly feel that the hotel should simply not have taken our booking in the first place or, at the very least, advised us of the restricted services. As a long-time Ibis customer, I will seek an alternative hotel brand for our return trip and for future travels.

We stayed one night in the Ibis Sud in Luxembourg in one of the tiny rooms. The reception asked us to come down to get a pillow as for a couple they had only kept 2 pillows and he only had one spare. My wife has medical issues and needs one pillow to raise her feet but looks like the receptionist lives being rude to guests I get it that you guys run a budget hotel but am surprised how low the quality has sunk with the Ibis chain Regards Kedar Gokhale
