I have stayed at this hotel 3 or 4 times and it has been very convenient with easy access the the U-Bahn and it's own bar, restaurant and breakfast facilities.

This was my third stay and I enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. Arriving late Sunday night, there was probably fewer staff, but everybody was extremely helpful. The rooms are comfortable with great blackout blinds and the hotel is right next to the Westendstraße underground station which means the city center attractions are accessible within 10 mins.

The accommodation was in principle OK. Clearly, the size of the room is more appropriate for business persons who leave the hotel early and do not come back until night, than for families who would like to ‘live in’ the rooms a couple of hours during the days, e.g., for resting after a tour of the city. The breakfast was generous and variegated - more flexibility in the closing times of the restaurant would have been appreciated. It was a pity that one of the two elevators was out of order for the whole period of our stay (22 to 27 December 2019).

Clean comfortable modern compact place that felt like home for my 7-week stay

The whole hotel is clean and modern. The room was compact, clean, quiet and ergonomic - only essentials, no clutter. The bed was very comfortable, the shower - smooth and easy to regulate, room temperature - easy to control. USB phone charging ports on the desk and near the bed (Eureka!). Friendly stuff, quick service. Outstanding breakfast. Subway was 1 min. from the hotel, 10-15 minutes to city center. I recommended this hotel to 2 friends - both were very happy. I will be back! Note that the hotel is very basic (which I like, but you may want to come prepared): No kettle in the room. Bring your own, or ask the friendly stuff for hot water 24/7. No iron (but who needs it?), no fridge (bummer, but I survived) No laundry service in the hotel, but commercial laundry in 15-min walking distance, self-service available 7 days a week 7 am through 11 pm. You could buy single serving of detergent there.

My stay was ok, the room was very warm when I arrived, it was clean but not spotless, I was disappointed the shower hose was dirty and in need of replacement (broken at the top where the shower head meets the hose), I explained this at check out.

A normal standard city hotel. When I've arrived I was informed there are two reservation on my name and I ask the recepcionist to cancel one since obviously was a mistake and I just need a room for my self. After some days, I've checked my credit card to discover I was charged twice for the room. Very dissapointed. The personal is not prepared to attend any special demand far from they normal duties.

Friendly check in, good room, newly renovated. BUT: some smell of adhesive still prevailed, and it was impossibly noisy outside to open the window: construction noise (hacksaw, grinding) during the day- even on a Saturday, and the petrol station next door seems to be a favorite hangout at night. When checking out, the night porter was zero impressed and made me pay 3.50 for a half paper cup of cappucino.

It's been a long time since I felt as bad as in our hotel, but from what I recall the previous Ibis hotel in Moanachium in which I slept also had a problem with service.

Pictures do not match the reality. The bathrooms are made out of plastic and remind you more of a boat excursion on a tiny boat. The ammenities were not satisfactory. There was no safe, no fridge, no trash can, and only one towel for two people. It does not match normal ibis standards and more importantly neither mine. It said on the site there was a 24/7 bar and restauraunt, they were never open, always closed (maybe open for 2 hrs and thats it). Staff is not friendly and not helping, and overall the experience was bad as sanitation, minimum amenities, service, consumer satisfaction, standards, and more did not meet the norm

Stayed a few days for Oktoberfest. The hotel was efficient and convenient to public transport. Not too many amenities, but had everything we needed. The only issue was the bathroom, while it looked clean it had a persistent bad smell of a bar bathroom - not pleasant. Still, a decent budget place to stay. Front desk staff was very helpful with checking us in, scheduling a taxi and providing extra towels when requested.

Our group enjoyed their stay at the Ibis-München City West. The public transportation access was ideal for getting to and from our activities and meetings. Breakfast was also very good, and staff in general were attentive and polite. The only negatives: The rooms were warm, as the Air Conditioning had already been turned off for the fall/winter season. This is a common occurrence in Europe, it seems, as we've encountered this elsewhere as well. Secondly, I personally had issues with noise when having my room windows open (due to air conditioning being turned off) - my room was on the back, overlooking the gas station. My roommates and I could hear every word that was spoken, day and night. This, however, is beyond the control of Ibis staff.

So glad we stayed here during Oktoberfest! The room was clean, breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the location was convenient getting to the festival. Additionally, the staff was very responsive to any questions we had prior to our arrival. A tip for future fest goers, this hotel is less than a 30 minute walk from the ZOB. This matters because it was impossible to get an Uber ride during Oktoberfest, not to mention the uber rates easily doubled at that time.

Practically impossible to work in the room on the tiny table

On a business trip you expect to be able to work comfortably in your room when the need arises. The tiny table and sofa bed (as a chair) were inadequate for this, which was disappointing. Also, the dinner menu hasn’t changed for a very long time. Otherwise, clean room, nice staff, reasonable Wi-Fi, very handy for the U-Bahn and a good breakfast. Probably won't book again for business just because of the poor workspace in the room.
