The hotel was great but unfortunately the building work happening when I was staying distrurbed a good night's sleep. I wish I had been informed it was happening before I booked as I was in Munich for work and would have booked something quieter if I had known.

We stay at Accor properties often and we were in this Mercure in room 601 for 7 days. The location was terrific and we enjoyed the nice breakfast buffet and the all-day coffee bar, and the staff was very good. However, the room reminded me that I often think those who design and furnish hotel rooms should be made to spend a few nights there. There were almost no shelves or drawers for our things, the closet was inadequate for hanging much, there were very few horizontal surfaces where we could just put things, the desk was tiny and stuck in a dormer window and half its was surface was taken up by the coffee tray. The bathroom door was difficult to latch shut from the inside. The bathroom sink suffered from a classic problem: the faucet doesn't extend into the sink far at all, so washing your hands produces splashing and because the surface behind the sink is a hump, splashed water runs down to soak anything on the very small flat counter space on either side of the sink. And, of course, the ceiling is very sloped all along one side of the room, and it's easy to hit your head or scrape your shoulder. The ceiling openings for the two dormer windows offer particularly nasty edges for banging and cutting your head - perhaps vinyl edge protectors here would reduce the damage. To be fair, we were warned about the sloped ceiling and avoided injury most of the time. Finally, there are 4-5 steps up to get into lobby from the street and you have to carry your bags - there's no ramp and no assistance from staff so be prepared if you pack a lot. To summarize, we were disappointed but not enough to change hotels or (having unpacked) rooms. Would we stay there again? Maybe but not in that room. Good luck!

Hotel was in a good area within walking distance to a lot and close to a U-bahn station. Rooms were clean and breakfast was good. The room was warm and difficult to cool down. The alley for the front door was a little dangerous since the sidewalk was closed and cars sped down it.

I had to change my date due to the flights change because Middle East conflict and got a cold answer saying just no. I asked to increase one night and move the first one to 2 days earlier and the answer was still a cold no. So I chose a different hotel. I lost the money and you lost a client. Funny thing is that all other hotels I had booked were helpful and ignored their policies showing understanding of the situation.

We were disapointed that we hadn't been warned that a renovation was ongoing. Fortunately it was Easter weekend so there was no noise. The staff was efficient but not friendly or helpful. Very brusk. The lack of a bar or relax area (the lobby is too steril to be relaxing) was disappointing. Great location and the renovated room was nice if a bit ackward under the eves - despite there being plenty of room the bed was too close to the ceiling and I hit my head several times.
