Overall the hotel was ok, but I had the impression that this hotel is below the normal standard of Mercure hotels.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Mercure Hotel Muenchen Altstadt! All the staff from housekeeping to Front desk were so friendly and helpful. The Buffet breakfast was delicious and the variety was fit for a king. we especially enjoyed the freshly squeezed orange juice and weisswurst! Our rooms were spacious, very clean and lacked nothing. It all made for a perfect stay. Will definitely be back!

I have used the hotel a few times for three days business trips. Breakfast is really good, beds very comfy, and the shower is amazing! The staff are so friendly .My only wish is for coffee in the room - I dont drink tea!

We stayed in a double room for three nights. The hotel location is excellent- it’s just a stone’s throw to Marienplatz, U-Bahn and S-Bahn station which connects directly to the airport and it’s right in the main shopping area with many eateries around. Other attractions like the Deutsches Museum, English Garden and the Residenz are in walking distance. Hauptbahnhof München is just a 14-minute walk away. Breakfast was good. Complimentary self-service coffee, hot chocolate and water was available all day in the breakfast serving area. Complimentary drinks were stocked inside the fridge in hotel room every day. The room was clean, bed was comfortable. There’s an individual temperature control inside our room. We felt safe in the area around the hotel.

Fantastic location and great breakfast! Rooms are small but with good sound proof . Perfect to explore Old Town Munich. Walked to everywhere . Would stay here again next time!
