This whole stay was weird. At check-in they were inventing "policies" disallowing use of points (because I could no longer cancel reservation... I wasn't trying to) and early checkin (costs extra because housekeeping needs to work extra to make it available... I was not asking to make it available). Then they put me on the 6th floor facing the street with constant rumble of trams and boom boom boom going through the night. Made worse with aircon not working so I constantly had to choose between opening the window with even more noise or sweating my butt off. And there was only one elevator in this part of the hotel, which promptly stopped working on the second day. As icing on the cake, housekeeping tried breaking into my room with "Do Not Disturb" tag clearly on the door handle (and the door lock not working). They didn't even knock or announce themselves, just swipe the card and get in before I could even react. The breakfast was pretty decent and WiFi worked well.

Unable to sleep most of the time due to the noisy tram, even with window and everything closed. Otherwise standard IBIS and therefore it was really overprized, even during the Oktoberfest

I Knew it was expensive during Oktoberfest, and the price of the room probably tripled. I stayed for 2 nights. However, room was very very small, as the micro bathroom. Bed really hard. After the first night, no cleaning was done when i came back in the evening. Not good at all.

Nothing wrong with the room - as long as you know what to expect. The only reason I have lower is they wanted to charge me extra for early checkin; quite annoying as a platinum.

Below expectation. Staff was nice but there were a couple insects and spiders in the room which were handled diligently but I found another later. The rooms need better maintenance overall. Cleaning was good in general but requires deep clean behind panels and the heater in the bathroom.

Noisy tram on the street. Room cleaning starts too early shouting and knocking on doors. The bartender is very rude and arrogant. He kept zapping the TV to find some content he wanted to watch despite our ask to keep it tuned on a specific channel/event that was airing live. He just ignored and kept zapping... also, he keeps begging for tips.. Room size is small, but for a few nights is ok. The shower, however, is tiny. The whole bathroom is a bit of a joke if you are not a small or very small person. The price is very expensive for what we get. The only positive is the location.

This is not the first time I have stayed at this hotel. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly. The main problem was that the fire alarm went off at 3 a.m. and it was impossible to stay in the hotel for an hour. However, the call was false. The night was ruined. However, the staff did not explain anything. Otherwise, there were no problems.

The hotel feels rather old and dated, and the entrance is not very visible or easy to find. Early check-in was not possible, even for an additional fee, which was disappointing. The older gentleman at reception was not particularly welcoming or helpful. At check-in, I was not given any basic information about the hotel — no explanation of where and when breakfast was served, how to access the Wi-Fi, or anything else that might be useful for a guest. I was simply handed the room key and told where the lift was. I understand that this is one of the more affordable hotels in the area, and I adjusted my expectations accordingly. However, a lower price should not mean that guests are treated as if they were invisible. A little more friendliness, attention and basic information at check-in would make a significant difference to the overall experience.

Goid location, close to main train station. Comfortable beds. Very cramped room and bathroom. No hand towels provided. Good breakfast, and nice bar area. Bedrooms at front of hotel are noisy due to 24hr trams passing. Also noisy at the rear due to people congregating and raised voices in the rear coutyard at all hours of the night. Good location for access to the Old Town area of Munich and to the Oktoberfest festival.

The hotel is in an excellent location but the room left a lot to be desired. There was no cupboard or wardrobe space and for a 4 day stay that was annoying. The sink in the bathroom only drained very slowly.

I spoke with the front office daily to see if I can move to a room with AC as it was broken in both rooms, they said no as it was not available.. so i asked to compensate a little for my stay as I would not book a room without AC.. They said to email the email address given as a manager has to make the decision and I have been ignored.. I have been following up and no response at all.. Can someone reach out to me?!

Our room was hot and stuffy, aircon did not seem to work. The configuration of the room with a big post in the middle of it made, it difficult to move around and hampered the small amount of air coming from the vent. With open windows it was difficult to get much sleep. Voices of kitchen staff and neighbours could be heard at all hours! We were disappointed as other IBIS properties have always been fine.
