I have been staying in this hotel for years. The hotel staff at the reception are very polite and kind. But I can't say the same about the cleaning staff of the rooms. One example, the cleaning staff already in the morning at 9 o'clock, they start knocking on doors, like in the same time calls out, cleaning the rooms, at the same time they open the door of the room, and seeing the guests in the rooms, say excuse me, close the door, and knock on the next door. In fact, they do it with the guests staying in those same rooms, which they are about to leave that day. That's how they wake everyone up, and people force themselves to get up, get ready, and leave their rooms early. For me, from 9 to 10 in the morning, they knocked and at the same time opened my door 3 times.There was no sticker in the room saying "Please do not disturb me, I'm sleeping" to put on the outside of the door so they don't disturb me. They just remove them so they can justify that the guests did not put one. a few years ago, I tried the same thing in the Ibis Hotel, which is at the train station in Dusseldorf. I am a loyal customer with a platinum card but apparently it doesn't matter to them. I am very disappointed.

Small room, small toilets

papakyoto Friends getaway - TripAdvisor review

It is in kinda dodgy area but we chose it as we wanted to near the train station, so it is very convenient. The rooms are small, and the toilets are very small too, with little room in the shower. However, overall it was still quite a comfortable stay.
