I booked a triple room (double bed plus bunk bed) but the room I got via the automatic check-in was room number 07, which was only having a double bed (the bunk bed was missing). I tried calling to the support number I could find (+33…) but there was automatic voice message with options. After following some selection finally no operator picked up and the call was interrupted on the other side. We ended having to sleep 3 people (me and my 2 children) in the double beed, which made it very unconfortable. I could not sleep properly and that made the following day driving (I was on a trip from Santander (Spain) to Den Haag (The Netherlands) a terrible task. Also, there was only towels for 1 person in the room (1 big and 1 small towel). I had done the same type of booking in the same hotel previously (17/July) without any issues (same automatic check-in and with a correct room allocation (family room on the first floor)

Looks as if the hotel has been decorated since our last visit (Autumn 2025) and new flatscreen tvs installed, but rooms etc still the same basic standard. OK for a one night stop en route.

The hotel is being renovated and check in was from 17:00 even though the confirmation email stated 15:00 - there was no one there when we arrived at 15:30. The reception staff were very friendly. The room had a strong odour of paint and we had to sleep with the window open which was cold. The renovation feels like they are simply painting over mould. The bed was relatively comfortable but there is no soundproofing so you can hear neighbouring guests use the toilet. The towel was not white and the shower curtain had mould on it, however, at least there was a hot shower. The breakfast was extremely disappointing - a few tiny pastries, stale pancakes - not enough nutrition for a good start to the day. We would’ve expected some toast and a small amount of hot food (e.g. eggs) at least. We had not yet checked out in the morning (we still had time) and a member of staff entered our room when we were in there. We chose this hotel due to the ibis brand but were extremely disappointed.

Sir, our hotel is under renovation it is indicated everywhere we open at 5:00 PM. The breakfast is very well stocked for the price. Sincerely The Management

Budget hotel unfit for global travelers. Lack of reliable WiFi service, facility has no elevator, hotel remains closed with front door locked during daytime on a Saturday, allowing access to checked-in only guests with a digit code. Hotel staff is extremely limited and poorly trained.

Monsieur, Etant donné que vous êtes Français mais avec un téléphone de déplacement américain, je vous ai expliqué que le wifi sur votre smartphone avait un problème de connexion qui n'entre pas dans nos compétences puisque notre wifi est excellente pour tous nos clients sur place. lorsque vous réservé il est écrit sans ascenseur...et notifié aussi nous sommes fermés de 11h00 à 17h00 oui comme dans tous commerces à moins que cela ne vous dérange aussi, vous avez été fort désagréable et mal poli avec notre personnel, votre famille présente pour le mariage également à été très chaleureuse, nos clients présents ce jour ci ne comprennent pas de tel agissements. Nous sommes très accueillant, arrangeant et relativement professionnel malgré parfois des cas que nous ne pouvons pas gérer. cdt. la direction

Having been told prior that our room was available from 3pm, we did arrive earlier(1.30 as the traffic was good) only to find reception has limited morning and evening hours. This would not have been a problem except the auto reception machine was not working. It did state reception available from 4pm. In fact reception was not available until 5pm. Not a good start. Generally the hotel is rather old and tired and needs updating ( we have stayed in others of the chain), but the room and bathroom were clean if a bit tatty. The staff were courteous. A shame this particular hotel is not up to the standard of the others we have used but we had a pleasant 2 night stay in the town and spent little time in the room. Generally this is, as expected, a basic hotel to use as a convenient stopover or base for 2 nights

We’ve had good experiences with Ibis Budget in the past, but this was by far the worst. I booked via the official All.com website, paid non-refundable, and even checked in through the official app. The confirmation email, app, and website all stated that check-in was at 15:00. However, when we arrived at 15:30, the hotel was closed until 17:00. At least 15 other guests were also waiting outside, equally misinformed. The self-service computer was useless, and the paid phone number offered no help whatsoever. After 17:00 came the next issue. Although I had already checked in through the app and had proof of payment (app, email, and bank statement), the reception insisted that I needed to pay again for another room. When the manager was contacted by phone, he was extremely rude, he threatened us to "pay or leave" and hung up when asked to review the situation. The only positive note was the receptionist, who was polite and clearly also a victim of this mismanagement by Accor. In the end, she checked us into an old, dirty “out of order” room, which I reluctantly accepted after a long journey. Unfortunately, that room left me with painful bites on my back, later confirmed to be from bedbugs (photos available). Despite all this, I was still sent an invoice for the room. This experience was beyond unacceptable.

Directrice odieuse Hôtel à fuir. Alors que nous nous plaignions de plusieurs défauts dans notre chambre (mitigeur douche défectueux, joints sales et noircis, absence d’un oreiller), la directrice nous a sèchement envoyé paître, nous indiquant qu’à ce prix là (59,72e la nuit) on avait pas à se plaindre et que «  les gens en juillet devaient être cool ». Elle nous signifie ensuite que nous ne savons pas utiliser un mitigeur et qu’à trois, nous devrions être capable de nous en sortir. Elle refuse avec agressivité de monter vérifier dans notre chambre. Lui demandant alors de changer de ton, elle déclare alors « c’est vous qui allez changer de ton ». Nous attendions une solution pour pouvoir nous doucher et nous nous faisons crier dessus comme des gamins. Elle nous a enfin dit « si vous n’êtes pas contents, vous pouvez annuler la seconde nuit que vous avez réservé », ce que nous avons donc fait sans hésiter.

A change in our circumstances meant we had to change the date of this booking and they were very accommodating. The room was as expected although the shower was a little more dated than expected. A fan would have been appreciated as it was a warm night.
