My friend and I had just finished our 2+ week musical tour and wanted a few days to unwind in France. We boarded the train Gare L'est and aftet disembarking, to our delight, the hotel was 150m from the station. This hotel is centrally located, and charming in a French European way. An example is a small room behind the lobby that provides coffee, water, popcorn, apples, and other snacks. Free! The elevator is small. Only 1-2 person depending on luggage. However, only 60 or do rooms. The breakfast is lovely, with many options to select from. Fresh artisan breads, yogurts, eggs, pancakes, cheeses, pastries. Absolutely delightful. The staff was wonderful too. They offered a warm welcome, and since we arrived a few hours before check-in, they checked our bags as well. They also provided a map with some advice on things to do on a Sunday. The rooms were small, but had everything we needed for a short stay. In short, this is not a 5-star resort, but a good quality hotel at reasonable prices.

Hotel was in a good location for the station and a convenience shop across the road for snacks. Reception staff extremely helpful and friendly and gave good advice about restaurants. Card in room saying put towels on shower floor if you wanted them changed, which we didn't and they changed them anyway. Room was quite small but adequate for a 2 night stay. Would go back. Nice breakfast.

It was too hot. My room was at 26 degrees with the heating switched off. I had to open the window to get to 22 degrees which allowed me to sleep. The nice colleague could not help me.

I was really surprised by how good this Hotel was and it all came down to the interactions I had with 2 people. Firstly, the fantastic lady at reception. You simply couldn’t ask for better, an absolute star! The lovely lady who we saw at breakfast and around the hotel who was so approachable and friendly. Their interactions and obliging nature to be brutally honest put the Pullman Montparnasse to shame who we’d just stayed with on our European trip. If you understand the Accor Hotels tiers (luxury, mid scale etc) then I can tell you IBIS styles Strasbourg performs well above its category! Well done!
