Just ok. At least the location is good.

MOKROK TripAdvisor review

The location is fantastic. It is about a 10-minute walk from the train station and sits right on the edge of the city centre, making it ideal for visiting the Christmas markets and exploring Strasbourg on foot. Unfortunately, the rooms were disappointing. They felt dated, quite small, and uncomfortably warm. There was also a noticeable smell in the corridor. Given the price, which in Australia would usually secure a premium hotel, the overall value did not match expectations. Breakfast was particularly poor. If you want anything other than scrambled eggs, you need to cook your own. The scrambled eggs appeared powdered, the crêpes were cold and clearly pre-cooked, and there was only one toaster servicing a very large seating area. Breakfast service also finishes early at 9.30 am. You would be better off eating elsewhere. Overall, the location is the hotel’s main strength, but the accommodation and breakfast offering do not justify the cost.

Extremly expensive (during christmas market), no upgrade (full hotel so acceptable), but no willingness to atrange a minibar despite a fridge on the room (instead of a upgrade, it could have been a gesture). The coffe facilities was nescafe, that was not refilled and a water cooker (in a superior room at a 4* hotel l would expecta coffe machine). Normally l really enjoy novotel but in Strasbourg it did not meet my expectations

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your stay at the Novotel Strasbourg. Regarding the upgrade, this is subject to availability on the day of arrival. As the hotel was fully booked, we sincerely apologize for not being able to meet this expectation. We would also like to point out that Superior rooms are not equipped with coffee machines, as indicated in the room description. However, we regret that the courtesy tray (Nescafé) was not restocked correctly. This does not reflect our quality standards, and a reminder has been sent to our teams to reinforce this point. We are sincerely sorry that your stay in Strasbourg did not live up to the image you usually have of Novotel hotels, and we hope to have the opportunity to regain your trust during a future stay. Sincerely, Charlène ZAEGEL Front Office Manager

We checked into our hotel and we were amazed as to how large our room was for European standards. We had so much space in our room. The only reason why I rated our experience a 9 out of 10 was because the "built in" hair dryer in the bathroom only blew out cold air. I did let the front desk staff know but they were not able to deliver another hair dryer until the following morning. This hotel is right next to a shopping center with a grocery store inside. We bought ham, cheese, butter, and a baguette, fruit and yogurt and had our own "picnic" breakfast in the room. The tram also stops in front of this hotel which is one stop away from Strasbourg's train station. In addition, the three (3) garbage bins that are by the elevators (in the lobby) are colored yellow, blue, and green. It would have been nice to label each bin to know which bin was for garbage, recycle, and compost. I can assume the green bin was for compost but I would like to be helpful to the cleaning staff since they have to empty the garbage and recycling each day.

It was our first stay @ a Novotel, and overall we had a good time and were well looked after. The hotel was very well located, the rooms fine but with a very small independent toilet, and breakfast was rather chaotic as the layout of the hotel means the food is spread over a wide area.

Dear Guest, Thank you for the great review of our hotel! We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again very soon. Sincerely, Charlène ZAEGEL Front Office Manager
